Sharks win!!!

Now, I will be rooting against them (as I am hoping to see Vancouver win the Cup.)  Which ever team wins that series will be my pick in the Finals against the Boston/Tampa Bay winner.

If it helps any, my son has been a sharks fan for quite a while and is rooting for them.

He has a terminal case, like the rest of us.

He's just always liked the Sharks as well for some reason.

sharks can't block shots forever tithe... game 7? guess the pundits said it would happen...

Go Wings!

I guess there are a few Swedes on the Wings, huh?

Personally, I always root against the Red Wings, just like the Yankees in Baseball. I like the Sharks, but picked and have been rooting for the Canucks since the beginning of the playoffs. I'd like to see a Tampa Bay/Vancouver finals, with Vancouver winning Lord Stanley's Cup.

Actually, I could root equally for both the Sharks & the Wings, as both teams have a player from my home Swedish favourite team (Niclas Wallin in the Sharks & Tomas Holmstrom in the Wings). But, as Homer has played for the Wings for such a long time as compared for Wallin for the Sharks, I'm more firmly rooted () in rooting for the Wings. BTW, I have Mattias Ohlund in the Lighnings as well. Also a native Lulea player.

Nic is one of our favorites, and a long time Hurricane.

I know he was and I'm glad for his sake that they made it to the semis.

I think you'd need the time travel super power just to get back what you wasted on the x-ray/super perv power.

By the way, you don't need x-ray vision to have the super perv power.

Back to normal after your whiff of the bird flu?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the post on the main forum. Serious mistake on my part to answer a question on the main forum. My bad. Forgot that most are pre-teens and don't really care about answers. Won't make that mistake again.

Ciao. J

Haven't had H5N1 before. This was my first bout with Strep throat. Pretty nasty bug, that. I haven't been that febrile since I had influenza once in College. Anyways, not back to normal, but I think I'm on the mend.

It's so clear today that you can see Ft. Worth 30 miles away . . . . it's 75 degrees out . . . . I have margarita mixer in my fridge . . . . my motivation is plummeting . . . . it's imperative to take half a day off.

Y'all have a great weekend.

As one who used to live in Richardson, I can ask this question: "Why would you want to do that?"

ETA: I suppose it IS better than seeing Fort Worth just 10 miles away, but not quite as good as seeing Fort Worth 40 miles away.

Tithe...

Spoke to my boss's boss today. She called me into her office to explain that even though she was responsible for my sacking, she was "sorry", my work had been "excellent", and I would be given glowing references. Whoop-di-doo.

Got a condo right behind Rush Creek Yacht Club right after I graduated and went to work for TI (still have it, I think; at least I'm still paying taxes on it). Lived there for 2 1/2 years. Some of the best years of my life. Some of the best sailing in my life. Gotta say that Ft Worth Boat Club was well worth going to. Glen Darden was a man to beat, and it didn't happen often. Eagle Mountain Lake was a dinghy sailor's dream (or nightmare, whatever). Kinda like Ft Worth.

Thanks, Des!

How are you feeling these days?  Gaining some strength back?

Getting better thanks Mike, the Doc's tell me I'm responding well to the treatment. Last test showed that the tumour has gone dormant, and I'm also putting on weight. Problem is that I went down in weight from 86kg to 55kg, and lost a lot of muscle mass too. I'm now up to 63kg in one and a half months, but the legs aren't used to that weight yet. But I'm alive and still kicking, so life is all good.

Good news Des!
