I resent that. All of my points have been presented logically and reasonably and in one case satirically, but there was never any "screaming" involved. Asking when a game is going to be published is typical for any game in any forum. The longer it takes for a game to be releaed, the more times the question will be asked. That's just the math of it. I've never asked when the game is going to be ready for *me*. I've only asked what *year* it was going to be released. It looks like the only way that some of you guys can debate the situation is to exaggerate, misrepresent or misquote what I say and then try to patronize me for it, and that's pretty lame.

Relax...What I said wasn't directed at You or any single person. It's a general statement of what you can read on almost any forum related to an upcoming title. You're getting a little defensive about what your reading here.

Sorry. That ain't gonna fly. Saying that it was a "general statement" to weasle out of your comment is pretty cheesy too.

OK. *Now* i'm relaxed. (-:

In night combat a filter is placed over the grid. You can see that below. Unless a unit fires or is under a flare, you can't see it at greater than two hexes. Getting that correct is proving to be slightly problematic right now.

Your reading this post and seeing everything directed at you and taking them as personal attacks. It wasn't directed at you personally, but I figure no amount of telling you so will change your mind. You cherry picked one sentence in there and figured some way it's about you. It must be terrible to be as angry and defensive as you seem to be in this post. I figure it's just best we go ahead and no longer discuss this since you seem completely and utterly consumed with the thought that the post was directed at you. I don't know you personally and believe me if I was (which I don't do) personally targeting you with my post I wouldn't try to weasel out of a thing. But congrats you joined ravinhood as the only blocked people on my list.

I am interested in this title. Unfortunately, I read through the messages made and I read alot of anger and discontempt. Being that this program that is being made should be something that is fun, I find it perturbing that the comments are anything but that.
Please have fun:)

Ericw43, don't pay to much attention to the chatting back and forth in this thread. Most important thing in this post is the screens that Mark has shared with us.

In other words don't let us crazies (me include) chase you off. We're just killing time with each other here.

The Undercovergeek speaks truth. Being annoyed makes us do things that no sensible person should do. Like arguing with a guy that 's wearing a diaper and carrying a gun. Sheesh. I should be smacked for that. Seriously.

i guess to get the game this far, tons of hours had to be invested. why do you expect they will quit it? looks like it's a second priority behind the boardgame production.
this is a rather unique pc wargame design, there aren't very similiar games that come to my mind. so i think there are no reasons not to release this from this perspective.

my best wishes to mr walker and his team

Ericw43 it's best to ignore the ranting posts.

Mark, the screens look great. I am a patient man, but I do hope you get the game to me before I die.

Mark,  I was wondering when looking at the screens.  Are there any buildings that are two story on the boards?  If so can you occupy that second floor with your men during game play.

Typically in the board game, stone buildings (those are the darker ones)of at least 3 hexes in size are considered to have a 2nd level, and you can choose which floor to man.

Kinda what I figured. Very similar to Squad Leader. But I'm wondering is this implemented in the game since this adds complexity to the LOS system under the hood.

The first Combat Mission game years ago was to be for more or less Squad Leader for the PC. But it didn't implement this.

I thought CM had multi-level. I know CMBB does because I still play it daily, I thought CMBO had it too.
