Time for some grillin'. Brats on the grill, 'country potatoes' in the oven and a fresh salad with all the trimmins'.

We did:
Appetizer
- grilled crabcakes with mango salsa

Main course
- grilled cheeseburgers made with diced onions browned in bacon grease
- grilled corn on the cob
- grilled artichokes
- sliced and grilled egg plant

I LURVE grilled corn on the cob.

Same here, and it's been way too long. Butter it up, wrapped in foil and roast it all together with some salt and pepper.

But Ike99 is a pre-teen and isn't quite cognizent about what older people might be talking about. He's not bright enough to 'get it', so perhaps allowarces should be made. But when they get even more stupid and egotistical than the already are, and threaten prople with their "I'm an Air-Commando" nonesense, here's my address.

I live with an 84 year old woman, confined to wheelchair, and a dog. Think I could take care of most of you without even going into the closet. C'mon down and visit.

[ed] Shoot. No. Allowances shouldn't be made. Ike is a piece of brown and should be wiped up like you do to your doggie. I'll do everything I can to remove this piece of feces from these forums, now and forever. Ike, be ware. Be very ware.

I don´t quite know what to say JWE. Do you listen to what you say? Honestly, you sound like a raging drunk to me. Just my opinion.

Who says

quote:

JWE: I could take care of most of you without even going into the closet.

You´re placing the home on the internet and saying you can fight most the forum. But some you need to go to the closet. A weapon? What kind of person would post such a thing? I do not know. A drunk or someone unstable. I can´t think of any other type.

I don´t often join with Terminus but I´m going to in this. I join him in his expression of disbelief at some of the outrageous comments being made. Mynok has a bullet for my noggin because the world would be better off without ¨my type¨ and you JWE are challenging the forum to a fight.

How ugly a place!!

To my fellow player Japan. I am sorry they ran you away. I understand why. You sound like a courageous humanitarian man. Not all the brave carry a gun. No matter where you are my gaming brother JAPAN! A land mine trail carrying food to a jungle village or crossing a heated desert in Africa with water to the thirsty. Maybe A ship at sea sailing into a strong storm on a mission to help others.

My gaming brother Japn, I salute you here and now from ¨The Thread¨ The very belly of the monster and in much heated opposition.

(Salute)

I hope one day you see these kind words my brother.

I have no reason to be ware JWE. Erik you have no reason to ban. This forum is not my place and I do not return. But I leave defiantly, like Captain of Yamamoto standing proudly on the bridge of sinking Yamato.

A good day to all and to all a good night.

BTW. I´m not Japan, Helmut or anyone else. I have never had another Matrix account.

Bye.

Here's a recipe I picked when I was a semi-beach bum on the California beaches. Take corn with the husk still on, soak in salted water for a couple of hours, then put directly on the grill. No aluminum foil or anything. Water in the husk steams the corn and when it dries out it gets little grilled spots. Smells like grass when it's cooking and tastes like heaven - and summer in heaven to boot.

When done the husk comes right off, but becareful. Hot!

Dang!

What a long day. Smoked a pork shoulder and made some baked beans...sort of a ritual here for Memorial Day now. You missed some good stuff, USS. Sorry our attempted get together didn't work out.

I'm sorry the summit didn't work out as well, but we did manage to slice a beef tenderloin into beautiful filets and tried a variety of different rubs on them that we recently picked up at a new spice store near us. We also somehow managed to end up with 3 adults and 9 teenager/pre-teens. I think they were louder than your friendly cicada.

How about me? I take myself seriously but my wife just points and laughs.

Based on her highly regarded recommendation..... you're in, Don!

Trouble is, she does the pointing and laughing when I take off my pants....

Hmmm....that seriously qualifies you, if anything ever could.

If anyone is not yet convinced Ike is Japan, I question your sanity. Really. It's fracking obvious. When will Matrix figure out how to ban IPs?

Yes agree with you there Mynok, Ike99 is more likely to be Japan than Helmut and Co. As Japan was a coherent annoying troll, where as Helmut and Co are just about incoherent sometimes.

"Japan" was never coherent, whereas "Ike99" is a douchebag, but coherent.

We don't use no stinkin foil, or salt water soak.

1. Prep the cob by stripping it bare.
2. Butter it up or better yet, coat with olive oil.
3. Apply seasoning
4. Grill for 10-15 minutes turning occassionally over medium heat.

The "Eurovision thingy" yes ... now that's something I try to boycott every year. A little hard though, since Swedish media always blows it up to WW3 proportions

... and as for our diplomatic relations with Ajerbaijan - Hardly. Media (those dudes again) was very forward in pointing out that the winning song was written by Swedes, so we "almost" won. As if I cared.

I do not understand why they don't do the decent thing and quietly can the Eurovision Song Contest . I mean who cares, really? It's complete and utter B******. FACT.

I used to care, when I was about 10 years old, and the United Kingdom won with such all-time classics as "Save All Your Kisses For Me" by the poor man's ABBA, or "Making Your Mind Up" by the other mob with 2 girls and 2 boys.....
