Did you guys ever play AH's Submarine? It was a Steven Peek/S. Craig Taylor product (the guys who created Wooden Ships and Iron Men, Ironclads, Air Force and Wings), so it was entirely tactical with no strategic game - but it was a lot of fun!

That makes me think of the second grader who so upset his teacher when they were discussing animals.

The teacher held up a photo and asked "who can tell me what this is?"

The boy yelled out "It's a frickin' elephant!"

"What did you say?" demanded his teacher?

"It's A Frickin' Elephant" the boy repeated.

"Where did you learn such language?!" demanded the teacher.

"It's right there under the picture" explained the boy, puzzled at her anger.

Sure enough, when the teacher looked at the photo there was the title "African Elephant" underneath...

Didn't Midway have the rule where you had to tell your opponent where your cvtf was located after you had hit him w/ an airstrike? If it was, it was one of the dumbest rules that I've ever seen in a war game. Still enjoyed the game tho.

Turning my head right to look at the "game shelf" in my hobby room, I just got struck with how many AH games I have. Didn't think they were so many.

I have; Jutland, Battle of the Bulge, Flat top, Victory in the Pacific, Submarine, The Longest Day, Wooden Ships & Iron Men, Panzerblitz, Panzerleader, Fortress Europa, Panzergruppe Guderian, Civilization, Third Reich, Diplomacy, Up Front, Kingmaker, Kremlin, Titan, Hitlers War, History of the World, Age of Renissance, Merchant of Venus, Rail Baron, Acquire, B-17, TV- Wars, Titan:The Arena and finally 1830.

Many hours have been spent playing those games ... love them ... fond memories of the youth "game holidays" & "game weekends"
