Man I'm tempted to get one of these printed+laminated, hang it on my wall and draw front lines as I play.

I'm ready to build some new maps.
Because there are so many possibilities you have to tell me what kind of map you need.

Here are the values I can put on the map but not all at the same time.
- Current Port Size
- Maximum Port Size
- Current Airfield Size
- Maximum Airfield Size
- Basename
- Garrison Requirement Japan
- Garrison Requirement Allies
- LCU stacking limit
- Oil
- Resources
- Manpower
- Heavy Industry
- Light Industry
- Naval Shipyards
- Merchant Shipyards
- Repair Shipyards
- Armament
- Vehicles
- Refinery
- Victory Points Japan
- Victory Points Allies
- Assault Value Japan (per hex)
- Assault Value Allies (per hex)
If there are other values you need then let me know and I will check if I can find them.

Additionally the maps will now have a legend in the upper right part of the map and the assault values are now exact.

What I need from you is the exact layout that you would like to have and the scenario you want.
Do you like to have a game map or a planning map?
See my first post for examples.
I can only make full map scenarios maps.
If you would like to have maps for modded scenarios then please tell me where to get them.

Marc

A planning map with

top left: Portsize/MaxPortsize / top right: AFsize/MaxAFsize
bottom: basename

would be great.

which scenario?
Scenario 1 differs from 2 in starting Port Size from Truk and Cam Ranh Bay.

The first two maps are ready for download.
As always see the first post for links.

P.S.:
I'm not 100% sure that everything is correct but I'm quite confident.
Please check the maps.

Thanks!

Just a thought. Any idea how to do a map with distance lines between main port locations?

Sorry for my late answer.
I won't build the maps for scenarios any time soon because it takes quite some time. Sorry.

These are great! Thank you.

I have access to a large format plotter and would be interested in a whole map that is referred to in here as available from Matrix. I have checked my directory for WITP:AE and can't find anything like that. I have tried to search for a full map but can not find anything, even with the less precise box checked.

Again, thank you for the small incremental maps.

The mapfiles are in this directory: ...\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\ART\WPExnn.BMP x=H(with HEX) or N(without hex) and n=00-41. There are 42 files that put together build the map.
My maps are not small incremental maps but the original game maps with some extra data.

Here is a way to put the original files together in one big image:
If you have some experience with the command line then you understand the following.
Download this software and install it: http://www.graphicsmagick.org/
Create a batchfile like this:
C:
cd "\temp" REM change to directory where the map files are
REM the following lines create 6 new files. This are the map rows.
gm convert WPEH00.bmp WPEH01.bmp WPEH02.bmp WPEH03.bmp WPEH04.bmp WPEH05.bmp WPEH06.bmp +append c:\temp\gmtemp1.bmp
gm convert WPEH07.bmp WPEH08.bmp WPEH09.bmp WPEH10.bmp WPEH11.bmp WPEH12.bmp WPEH13.bmp +append c:\temp\gmtemp2.bmp
gm convert WPEH14.bmp WPEH15.bmp WPEH16.bmp WPEH17.bmp WPEH18.bmp WPEH19.bmp WPEH20.bmp +append c:\temp\gmtemp3.bmp
gm convert WPEH21.bmp WPEH22.bmp WPEH23.bmp WPEH24.bmp WPEH25.bmp WPEH26.bmp WPEH27.bmp +append c:\temp\gmtemp4.bmp
gm convert WPEH28.bmp WPEH29.bmp WPEH30.bmp WPEH31.bmp WPEH32.bmp WPEH33.bmp WPEH34.bmp +append c:\temp\gmtemp5.bmp
gm convert WPEH35.bmp WPEH36.bmp WPEH37.bmp WPEH38.bmp WPEH39.bmp WPEH40.bmp WPEH41.bmp +append c:\temp\gmtemp6.bmp
REM and now the rows are put together
gm convert gmtemp1.bmp gmtemp2.bmp gmtemp3.bmp gmtemp4.bmp gmtemp5.bmp gmtemp6.bmp -append c:\temp\WPEHSUM.bmp
REM delete the temporary files
del gmtemp*.bmp /q

Second that, a DaBabes scenario 28 or 29 map, with Maximum Port Size and Maximum Airfield Size, plus LCU stacking limit, if possible, would be greatly appreciated.

I printed and laminated mine at FEDEX/Kinkos. printing was easy, but they only had 1 store in the area with laminate that wide.

I'm looking at the AE_Map_Full_Enh_2_0 map and just noticed something. At Miri, it shows 150 oil and at Brunei it shows 10 oil. Actually, at the start of the game, they are 150(150) and 10(10) respectively. Shouldn't they be 300 and 20?

Yes they should be...

All it now takes is some engineers, a whack load of supplies and the repair flag switched on... A minimum of 150 days and both sites will be at par. Keep in mind that in the general case, captured facilities may be damaged. Also note that this is not a feature of the map but the scenario configurations. You are also reminded that repairs will only begin once a minimum of 10,000 supply points are stored at the base.

No engineers are needed, just the whack load of supplies.

the planning maps are a great idea. I want to start a full campaign and it would be helpful to have a printed map. Is there a way to
printed in A4 pages? will it be possible to do it with ms paint?

what are the differenes because the jpg maps and the .exe ones? the latter seems to be embeeded in the game, but how are they operated? can annotations be done on them using some editor like paint?

thank you.
