Let me think about that one... Hmm, well why don't you use the other arm for making tea Mate.

What? And how am I meant to hold my biscuit? With my foot? I'm not going to trust Small Child MkI to hold it for me

Besides, using your left hand is just wrong.

Sorry Mate... Clean forgot about the biscuit, back to the drawing board I guess.

You beat me to it

That's because I drink coffee rather than tea. More caffiene. Make you quicker off the mark (and one heck of a lot more hyper!)

Yes coffee is my drug of choice too, as I've always found tea a bit underwhelming.

You're making it wrong then! Can't beat a cup of Assam brewed so strong that no-one else n the crew room will drink it

iirc tea leaves actually have more caffeine than coffee by weight, but there's a smaller hit in each cup as tea isn't normally brewed as strong.

Nope! I brew my coffee even stronger! The only tea that comes close is Russian black tea.

As I'm a technician (or as civvy street like to think of me, an engineer) I'm going to spend tomorrow creating an elaborate mechanical device to solve the problem.

Good man Dixie. So to recap; what is the solution for a one armed tea-a-holic who is gagging for a nice cuppa along with a bourbon biscuit (but feel free to insert biscuit of your choice) . Said tea drinker could be left or right handed.

Got the brief? Go to work Dixie

Right. Forgot to mention that I became an Uncle yesterday evening for the first time! My nephew was born to my BIL and SIL at 7:05pm. Born on the 4th of July. What a cool birthday!

Nice one CB - has he been given an appropriate name - you know, like children born on Christmas Day are sometimes called Noel?

It's a very Italian-American name-"Luca". Yes, it's OK to quote The Godfather, as that is what most for the non-Italian-American part of the family did immediately upon hearing the namesake. "Luca Brazza-he sleeps wit da fishes.'

No, I meant your response to Dixie's predicament was radical; namely suggesting using the other arm

Now I know why 2nd New Zealand division were Monty's favourite troops; their ability to think outside the box

Weren't they particularly prized for clearing the minefields near El Alamein?

Yeah, like Barbeque or Firework?
Warspite1

Er..actually I was thinking more of Thomas or George (Washington not the III), Franklin, Benjamin...

Mind you there are so many weird and wonderful names nowadays, maybe Patriot or Minuteman or Independence or Bunker Hill

Actually that has a ring to it: Bunker Hill Chickenboy

Maybe "Boom!". Or Rebel?

i thought it would be quite obvious...either Tom (Cruise) or Ron (Kovic)...

Mongolian tea will peel the fur from a yak. Trust me, I've tried it. Pu-erh....comes in a round brick and is boiled not steeped. I dare one of you tea types to survive a dose.

His wife's sibling and mate would be called Bro-in-law and Sister-in-law. Nothing incestuous there....

First day went well.  Spent most of it getting acclimated.  Met about a dozen people.  Remember 3 names.

Everyone was nice, and they invited me back to play again tomorrow, so I must have done something right.
