an iPod without Jesus Built my Hotrod is a sad iPod . Its one of two songs that make me think of my pitbull...RIP. Gave a good clue as to what was going on inside that empty head of hers. I nearly threw a disk flailing to this song two weeks ago at my local goth club.

Additional recommendation......."You know what you are...." Great breakup song. God bless ya Al you screaming blue meanie you!

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear your both settling into each others routines. We used to have a very old cat who taught us her elevator call for when she wanted up on the bed.

And thanks to you and Nik and DivePac and anyone else who offers a home to a pet. Dogs, cats, pigs, tapirs, armadillos, hamsters, whatever. There is a special place in Heaven for them who as learned about unconditional love. God built the Rainbow Bridge for us. There is a reason he did.

Love your friends, whether human or animal. They are the only ones who will reflect your self right back on ya. They are the only ones worth listening to, and your pet, more than most.

Evening gang.  Saw a few of T's countrymen yesterday, a pair of Danish Hercs flew in.  Sadly they were only in the UK to take some troops home for the last time

Josh has been speaking his first words lately.  Not the usual cliched Mama or Dada.  Instead he was asking "who's this?" when I came home from work when he heard the front door open

Human nature always dictates that a doctrine to work-though a set problem, will conflict with the
doctrine used to solve another problem. This is simply the way life works, as there are many ways to boil water, but all have the same concept (e.g heat).

1) Get the wife to do it.
2) There is no 2nd option!

If your Wife is an independently minded Chef, there have to be many other options.

Why is that "sad"? We've got problems a-plenty down here.

Sure thing... but we had problems in 1960's and we still managed to have decent Space Program...

Also many many technologies that we enjoy right now are offsprings of technology devised for space program - thus it was not wasted money!

Name five.

I am going out for lunch (and other activities) and will be back on-line tomorrow... will post it here...

Many happy returns Leo

Enjoy your lunch - and "other activiites" - ohh err missus!!

Just saw some of Blazing Saddles yesterday.

Warspite1

Watching it now - first time in many many years. I forgot just how refreshingly un-PC this film was. Absolutely brilliant!

Hedley Lamar (signing up desperados and thugs): "What are your qualifications?"
Big cowpoke, chewing massive plug of tobbaco: "Rape, murder, arson and rape."
"You mentioned 'rape' twice-why?"
"I like rape."
"Sign here."

Warspite1

Great use of the word "Twat" in that film too - When was it made??

Dixie, I love my music - but am not a musical snob i.e. if it sounds good - I like it!

I therefore have no shame in saying that my IPOD contains all sorts from Bucks Fizz (When we were young - remember that?) to Nirvana (there is only one song), from Beethoven to Eminem. If a song stirs the emotions - then it can't be bad.

Fair enough

Actually it was an open invite for others to put down their favs - I find this sort of thing an excellent way to introduce new music. There is a thread devoted to this in the General Discussion forum - and I have picked up a ton of stuff I would not otherwise know about/bother to listen to.

You justify it however you want

When I was young it was the late 80/early 90s. When I first starting being interested in music it was Take That and PJ & Duncan The first CD I ever got was (What's The Story) Morning Glory. The first one I bought was No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom. It's The Clash at the moment although I'm not a fan of the political leanings.

1. Queen- Hammer to Fall
2. The Clash- Should I Stay or Should I Go
