Hi all,

Yeah, well I am not buying a CRT (Cathode Ray Tube). I would have to use Ebay and that is not happening and I don't want one anyway. I would love Apple's 32 inch monitor (2000 dollars plus). That is also not happening. I need something in the middle........

The biggest problem (and there are plethora of problems with LCD monitors ) is that it works OK ONLY in native resolution (i.e. the resolution of the LCD matrix)... so if you buy, let's say, FullHD 1920x1080 24" LCD you simply have to have desktop set to that resolution and you have to run every single game at that resolution as well...

Leo "Apollo11"

Yeah, Leo there are problems. I have to go looking a friend of mine uses a Sony 24 inch CRT that he got for 200 dollars that was over a 1000 new.

Spent the day playing Republic of Rome, haven't laughed so much during a day's gaming for a long time. Get it (and 5 mates) if you can

An AU is an Angstrom. Auuu, arruuu, auu, auuu is what Pickles says.

Total dog house, here. Beaudy's old foster mom dropped her rescue Springers, Pickles and Poppy, off so she could go to her brother's wedding. She was Beaudy's foster mom when I adopted him. So Beaudy is playing host to his old foster dog family; Pickles, Poppy, and Beaudy back to being a liver and white, furry, Springer pile with three heads, twelve feet, and three furiously wagging little tail nubbins. Lots of pics, but just a quickie; Beaudyis on the left, Pickles is front right, and the utter little delicate darling Poppy is back right.

Just imagine these three on the bed. Every time I roll over, one of them gives me that Ratso Rizzo thing; "Hey, hey, hey, I'm sleeping here, I'm sleeping here!" Woof !!!

Off with the wife unit to go see the new "Planet of the Apes" movie. I can't get the "Dr. Zeus song" from the Simpsons out of my head though...

Troy McLeur singing, "Oh no! I was wrong! It was Earth all along!"

"I hate every ape I see. From chimpan-Ayy to chimpan-Zee!"

It was alright. Certis (sp?) did a great job as the body double for Caesar. The appalling biosecurity / animal handling at the 'laboratory' were laughably done. I mean I literally laughed out loud. Some basic biology loopholes and major freakin' plot oversights too, but a fair rendition of the spirit of the original.

Maybe someone that wasn't in the natural sciences would find it more plausible.
