CONTACT: Japanese lookouts spot Allied task force at 5,000 yards Range closes to 2,000 yards What I thought was a strong SCTF that surprised Indomitable TF (Royal Sovereign was hit by Netty torpedoes the day before and was still on fire in the combat replay): all but one bouncing shot missed, Kinugasa lost to 2 torps and "Allied TF manages to escape" at 2,000 yard range.
