Italian campaign v0.62 (for Panzer Corps v1.04) (01/11/11)

http://www.sendspace.com/file/9l6770

Italian campaign v0.61 (for Panzer Corps v1.01/02) (01/11/11)

Download: http://www.sendspace.com/file/eamhcf

Install for v1.04
Unrar this file under your \my games\panzer corps\mods folder (you might need to create the mods folder)
Start the main game as usual, click on new game and then click on the "more campaigns" folder, you should find the campaign there to start.

Install for v1.01/02
Unrar in your mods folder for use with the generic mod enabler (highly recommended).
If not, back-up \data \graphics \UI folders first! before overwriting.
Start the campaign with the italian picture (previous Barbarossa picture)

Changelog (v0.62):
-compatible with Panzer Corps v1.04

Changelog (v0.61):
-decreased number of turns in scenario Middle-East from 40 to 30
-scenario Egypt
-campaign.pzdat correction (forgot to put END after last scenario)

Changelog (v0.6):
-Compatible with the Real Sound Mod of VPaulus, a big thank you!
-Gameplay update! Cherish your units even more since prestige allocation is (much) tighter. Decission what to upgrade next has become more important. To capture a non VH is much more tempting to add points to your prestige.
-Implementing triggers to certain scenario's (zones/time); some unit strength points adjustments (due to latest feedback).
- Captured equipment expansion, equipment file itself remains unaltered (and won't be anymore for this campaign).
- Campaign pzdat file prestige awards altered (not the scenario names) and version update. Strings and Elba briefing version update.
- New game menu screen: Exchanged the Barabarossa (Nach Osten) png's with something more Italian.
Scenario 1 (final): Luftwaffe gift. Starting prestige -400.
Scenario 2 (final): No more shallow sea hexes, changed the road in the deployment area, zone triggers, core changed from 10 to 11. Starting prestige unchanged.
Scenario 3 (final): Minor road changes, added deployment zones in south Albania, zone trigger, core changed from 13 to 14. Starting prestige -700.
Scenario 4 (final): Zone trigger, time trigger, core changed from 15 to 16, deployment area moved to south-west. Scenario re-balance, removed prestige cap.Starting prestige -300.
Scenario 5 (final): Zone triggers. Starting prestige -100.
Scenario 6 (final): Starting prestige -300.
Scenario 7 (final): Time triggers. Starting prestige -900.
Scenario 8 (final): Time triggers, zone triggers, core changed from 21 to 24. Starting prestige -800.
Scenario 9 (final): Starting prestige -600.
Scenario 10 (final): Zone trigger, time triggers. Starting prestige -400.
Scenario 11 (final): Starting prestige +400.
Scenario 12 (final): Core from 22 to 20. Starting prestige -800.
Scenario 13 (final): Minor map change (roads), time trigger. No change in starting prestige.
Scenario 14 (final): Zone triggers, time triggers. Starting prestige -400.
Scenario 15 (Moskow), Scenario 16 (Rostov), Scenario 17 (Middle-East)

Suggestions (for scenario's) and feedback (especially prestige allocations) = welcome!

Ok I tried these and ran into these issues:

Greece 2 - screen goes black and nothing happens
Caucaus - same thing
bressaberia - same thing
Elbe - same thing
Crete - After british turn game ends automatically with allied victory
Malta - After british turn game ends automatically with allied victory (there arent any transports for German on map, only some surface ships)
Malaga - seems fine
Albania - Axis has 2 surface ships and no troops or port for troop to leave. all you can buy is artillery and tactical bomber
Preseov - 2 Axis tanks and 3 planes against 35 units?
Nice - No Axis units? Not sure what the scoop is there.
Greece1 - No Axis Units
Tunisia - 4 Axis units and 1000 prestige to take on 30+ units w/ fighters/bombers will always lead to Axis being crushed.

Not sure if these are still in the works or not. Had downloaded them thinking this was up and running.

Running Windows 7

01) Elba, core=10, turns=16 )
02) Malaga, core=10, turns=18
03) Albania, core=10, turns=15
04) Presov, core=15, turns=30
05) Nice, core=16, turns=24
06) Mareth, core=20, turns=40
07) Besserabia, core=21, turns=30
08 ) Greece1, core=21, turns=25
09) Greece2, core=22, turns=25
10) Crete,core=22,turns=
11) Malta, core=22, turns=25
12) Caucasus, core=23, turns=30

I can only think of the following:

1)You try to play them as seperate scenario's (in \my games\panzer corps\scenario) it doesn't work! Because i have not designed them as stand-alone scenario's and then it happens when you start ,for example there are no units under your command.
2)It is a campaign, which you start from the upper right icon (Nach Osten).

3)When you extract the rar file you get this:
\Italian_campaign\data
\graphics
\UI
All these files need to be extracted under c:\...\Panzer Corps\
(always backup \data; \graphics ; \UI folders before extracting)

I hope this was helpful. :)

if I download it over those folders will it rewrite over the new units downloads that have come out afterwards, or the new 1 off scenarios?

It might overwrite some files of new unit downloads, scenario's are only overwritten if they have the same name.
Most importantly: efx.pzdat, equipment.pzeqp, campaign.pzdat and more will be overwritten.

That is why i wrote that you need to take a back-up first or you can not revert to the vanilla version.

This could also be handy: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27158

I'm glad you like it sofar. An even more feedback related update and tweaks to most scenario's of v0.52 will be available for playing/testing in November. Progress i always post on the slitherine board (link in first window of this thread).

Bardia was a tough match!Great tank battle.
My first desert scenario at "Panzercorps".

Your work is impressive - so many italian units.
Please keep this high standard!

A very happy Norman

Hi,Niki!
Have a problem with the Netherlands scenario.
Finished all objectives within the last round and got a "LOSS" message afterwards.

There are also no italian reinforcements to buy, although there is a lot of prestige.
Furthermore you cannot supply planes at conquered airfields - could be a bug.

Cheers,
Norman

Hi,Niki!

After "Greece 1" scenario I was transferred to "Nederland" instead of "Greece 2"

Any explanations for that?

I have installed your German Campaign too.
Perhaps this causes the problem.

You can't play both campaigns at the same time.
Either you use the generic mod enabler (see slitherine forum for more info)
Or you can only overwrite one mod over the vanilla game folders (after backing up the game).
Normally nothing is lost. Unzip the Italian game once again, load your savegame from Greece1 and you should be able to continue. But i do recommend the generic mod enabler.

Thanks for clearing that up, Niki.
Was a quite funny experience to see my Italians in the Netherlands though .

So back to Greece again...

You gave me an idea thou.
One of the requests i received was if later in the campaign Italy could join the Allies and fight a few missions against the Germans.

Moskow was hard,Niki. The Soviet counterattack wiped out many of my units. I managed to achieve a marginal victory, but I lost too many units to resist in the Rostov scenario.
Will give it another try.
But again - great maps and lot of Italian units to play with.

I assume you installed the latest version and just continued the campaign. I only recommend to do so if you accumulated lots of prestige in the v0.52 savegame.
Ofcourse the new scenario's are v0.1 versions and i need feedback on those.
I'm going to release update v0.61 soon because the campaign doesn't automatically end after Middle-East (which it should).

The latest version should be somewhat harder, that is what some players were asking for, but you can also find some foreign equipment on the way (and some gifts) for those who (re)start from the beginning.

Thanks a lot for the feedback
