May 5th and a full Australian Division is also landed at Milne Bay. We deploy midget subs, PT boats and LBA to interdict and achieve some good hits. - The most spectacular was when an MTB torpedoed the escort carrier Corregidor. Our air strikes were fairly efficient against a somewhat lacking enemy CAP. In Burma enemy 4Es hit Port Blair in force; our CAP claimed ~30 B-24s shot down. In return the base was wrecked, 20ish ac destroyed on ground and I've been forced to evacuate all operational air groups. We know what happens when base damage hits 100% tomorow, then there's no way out.
