I had the same problem. Running W7 64-bit. I found that for some reason Windows was not associating the music/voice files from the program to the media player. I went into the sound files in the program's folder and double clicked on the music file to play it. It played. Apparently, this accomplished an association for all the files since they have worked OK in the game ever since. Curiously, the battle sounds always worked.

Give it a try.

Well Media Player uses a different api for playing sound and video files. Media Player uses DirectShow, while Panzer Corps uses MCI (Media Control Interface). The problem is that something is broken with MCI and the codecs/filters.

Have you downloaded the last version?
Why do you have two K-lite codecs?
You can take a look at these threads:

They have different workarounds.

While I don't use K-Lite and have no sound problems with PC the reason to install 32 bit as well as 64 bit is the behavior of a 64 bit Windows system (at least Windows Vista 64 bit as well as Windows 7 64 bit).

The 32 bit codec is fine for all programs started as a 32 bit application and then call 32 bit sound codecs. But if you would only have 32 bit codecs and you would launch a 64 bit program it would need to have 64 bit codecs. So you would need the 64 bit codecs too.

Hope that the linked threads give the needed help :)

You're right. I've never looked for x64 codecs, but it makes sense the x64 players needs them.
Unfortunately, I've struggle with codecs so many time, that usually I avoid all these packs, and install only the necessary if VLC player doesn't do the job. I almost don't encode these days.
Thanks for the tip, berndn.
