When I have combat animation on I get a moving transparant image of the main menu during surface combat. The image jumps aroung the screen as the combat progresses. This never happened with any of the previous versions and my computer hasn't changed during this time.

System
Dell Latitude laptop 1.2GHz PIII
16mb Radeon Mobile graphics card
Windows 2000

Attached is a jpeg of my screen.

Hi Victor,

From my experience with the UV 2.0 upgrade this graphics error occurs when you are running v2.0 and the save game file that you are using was created with a pre-v2.0 installation of UV.

UV may also experience an application hang/freeze in this situation when accessing info screens for TF's, bases, or a/c. The problem appears to be remedied when both sides are in sync with their UV versions.

Cheers

Gus

So far this has happened with every surface combat. This is occurring in a freshly started scenario too not from a previous save and I'm playing solo against the AI.

Hi Victor,

As I am exclusively a PBEM player I had not tried the 2.0 patch against the AI. So this morning I ran the UV tutorial as the USN and sent both of my surface TF's to Lunga to await the IJN. The surface battle went off without a hitch, i.e. no redraw or refresh graphical glitches.

Admittedly this is not a definitive test so I would be happy to run your save game file on my PC to see if I can reproduce the problem on my end. If you want to do this send me a private message and we can compare notes.

Cheers

Gus
