We have received the combat turn from Dec 9th, 1941 a few days back, and should receive the turn soon. Manila Big Cap'n Diaz had a shot at glory and blew it..... See picture below Numerous strikes on Manila... My fighter's morale is deathly low, and many are grounded due to damage.. A few subs are back on line Mines cleared in Bataan, so that we can sortie subs and run out other ships as necessary. Hawaii One more turn or so until I will sortie PacFleet once the carriers arrive to rearrange taskforce makeup ASW patrols didn't hit much or see much this turn I think. I need to check once the turn comes back to see how many subs are spotted, and where they are at. Subs sortied NoPac Fourteen penguins found at Dutch Harbor, while only three were spotted at Kodiak West Coast/Canada/Panama Ports continuing to expand along with airfields. Mike continues to install an excellent pilot training program. Harvey has requested some aircraft for defense in his theater. Units continue to load for pre determined destinations set on Dec 7th, and are currently in route. Saratoga in route to PH, to have three US Carriers online...for a total of five when Hornet and Yorktown come online in a couple of months. Air units are training mostly on the route to Pearl... All subs sent to Pearl to fuel then sortie from there. Fleets to partol points, S Boats will continue on to Auz Pacific Islands Xmas Island, Palmyra, Pago Pago and Suva are our main islands we will fortify with men, material, fuel, and planes. All islands between Pearl and New Z will soon have patrol aircraft patrolling entire route. Tarawa was captured by Japanese forces..which isn't a surprise, but is earlier than most games I think. Wake still hasn't seen any action.. wondering if a carrier tf can still run over, pick up Wildcats and drop them off on one of the above mentioned islands... probably not worth a carrier loss... Letting Noumea and Loganville be for now... building up bases further from the front first... Not sure how much to pour into Midway and Palmyra...Midway is an atoll with 6k stacking I believe... can't remember off the top of my head, need to get with Mike and discuss shipping plans if we plan to hold Palmyra and Midway firmly.. New Zealand Christchurch/Wellington/Auckland continuing to max out with forts/AF/and port facilities. Most aircraft are set to training at the moment, but did not max out with pilots. Fighting ships sent to Rabaul area to meet up with Harvey's fighting ships in that area. Land units should have moved some this turn, will combine them once all units arrive at the three mentioned ports/bases.
