Unfortunately not..she's fat, short with thin painted fake-red hair and in her middle 50s...but in springtime 2012, if things keep on going smoothly, i may be able to get a personal secretary (the one we have now "belongs" to the firm)...and boy, you can bet your life insurance that i'll take a young girl (probably 20 or something like that), stupid enough and damned good looking..."fresh meat" so to say...you know those who still have their small, little, fresh tits that look "up"...those who smell of youthness and innocence...with shining white teeth...skin of ivory....

...i've been studying my whole life to get to the point where you can say "Miss Priscilla (she needs to have a name like that), would you mind passing me the folder of the case of "mr brown"...yes, that one...right down there...on the lowest ancon in front of my desk...oh yes, don't worry i understand it's difficult to ben your knees with that skinny-mini-skirt...don't worry...i won't look"

replay arrived...haven't seen it yet...Rader is really upset and wrote me a long letter.

I gotta say that i feel his pain and perfectly understands him. I've been a bad boy and, somehow, i played at the very limits of the game fairness...feel a bit ashamed...

but now wanna get hard and watch the replay

eah! Take it to a duel with him in front of the Imperial Palace with a US cavalry saber!

Personally I think Greyjoy will succeed, I know I have near no or no ability to do so but I like to make guesses. :) I didn't think so at first, but if he has 180 batallions I think he can at least manage to get a hold in the north, but that it will be many months before he breaks out. The Japanese have a mighty airforce and navy left, but I think Greyjoy will manage because his airforce and navy are strong enough to secure the passage of a sufficient number of units and disrupt the counterattacks as much as his invasion force is disrupted.

I think it is over when GJ gets the second port. Once it becomes more than a single point defense the situation becomes impossible for Rader. His navy will be mostly gone, his airfoce will have to defend too many places. It will have to attack Navys, ground troops, airfileds, provide CAP and all the while defending industry against an air force that is getting closer and closer. Even if the invasion fails GJ can go back to bombing. The only way he can lose is for the invasion to fail and he losses all his carriers and with that the ability to supply and defend what he already has. Should be a hell of a ride though

Thanks for an informative post!
As to overall success: I just meant I don't think the invasion will take all of Honshu within the first few months but that he will succeed (ever since he landed in Hokkaido I've been sure he'd win the war unless Rader manages to sink Greyjoy's CVs while keeping his own alive), but after reading your post I hope he manages to win within the year!

Oooooh Rader is upset, what happened, what happened!? I look forward to seeing the turn report. :D
I hope he won't be too sad tho, and that it wasn't unfair, but I have faith in Greyjoy when he says it was at just the limit. ^^

Just a caution guys. We do have a female member and a good sport reading this AAR. A little decorum would be in order.

And don't say "+1" 'cos it's only because of you that this whole thing started!!!

It started when you dared talking about that actress born in Karachi and said it was worth saving Karachi even if only because she was born there...and there it all started the conversation about vintage women

Just joking.... really...i understand i went too much further. Sorry again

Ok...so what did i do?

In the last week i had noticed a decreasing rader's naval search activity beyond Hakkodate line.
In the last 4 weeks not a single naval search plane has been spotted.
Lately, say the last 3 weeks, not a single recon plane has passed over bases like Wakkanai, Toyohara or Kunashiri...
...i needed a way to defeat his air force before i hit the shores with my invasion TFs....i needed a feint...a big one...but i couldn't find the clue of how to make it...how to drag his bombers out of the Ominato range...

Then this lack of naval search and recon gave me the idea...

I kept track for 2 weeks of his recon routines...Hakkodate, Sapporo, Kushiro, Bihoro, Etorofu and Uruppu Jima...nothing more...
I knew he was monitoring my naval activity at Bihoro...i had 200 LCUs and 1300 ships there...he couldn't but notice them...
So i decided to make a big feint...
I set most of my troops to strat mode...waited untill they were all on strat (4 days) and then i moved them to Wakkanai...leaving big amphibious TFs at Bihiro...i moved at first 40 units...then 70 more...to simulate the timings of a complex loading operation...as expected he didn't recon Wakkanai...
Then i moved my whole fleet to Kushiro...which was reconned by the enemy...i made him see my mighty fleet anchored there...with 1300 fighters on CAP... i gave a lot of attention to Hachinoe also...everything to make him believe that i was going to invade there the very next turn... But at Kushiro there was only 300 ships...with some slow BBs and some LSTs...all empty...xAKs etc...not a single valuable landing ship... but without a decent naval search cover, and relying only on recon planes with a strong cap opposing them i guessed he didn't notice that.
My real fleet was hiding in the deep ocean...3 hexes east of Bihoro...with the CVs in cover...
Then i odered to some 100 DDs and some other minor ships (APDs, xAKs and some LCIs) to hit Hachinoe and create the perfect bait...
He was waiting for me...he ate the bait...he couldn't but eat it cause i knew he could not risk...
I know he ate it becuase Aikita, Ominato, Aomori and Hachinoe were suddenly crowded with empty barges and midget subs...

Rader thinks i abused the code...and i cannot deny that the fact that you cannot give you bombers any kind of target priority while on naval attack mission is a serious problem...but it affects both parts and this wasn't like sending hundreds of barges to mess up with the targetting system...
well...we'll have time to discuss it...

that's what happened anyway...

Rader posted copies of the back-and-forth emails between you and he on this topic. As usual, he was very nice and even-tempered about it, but did request comments. Here's what I posted in his AAR:

"No way GJ did anything wrong. I mean, my goodness. Rader, you've done plenty of things that were pretty "unusual" in this game, ranging from scores of AA units in single hexes to sending five divisions across the Owen Stanleys (I know you don't think there was anything unusual about that, but I certainly do, so it's one of those "eye of the beholder" things), etc.

"You guys are fighting at close range now, with all kinds of problems created by that and by the two-day turn cycles. It makes things tough on you, but that's the nature of the beast. GJ's feint was perfectly appropriate."
