Yeah, but what do you do when the local Piggly Wiggly just has Hormel Canned Ham in stock? Maybe a bit of 'long pig' perhaps; the thigh part, 'cause them long pigs got no sirloin to speak of. Rotisserie grill over a slow fire, a bit of Paul Fieri BBQ sauce (with cumin and bamboo shoots) and you got some good home cookin.

Sleeping, farting muppet-oids onscreen for 10 hours at night and drag queen sock puppets? One of those 'lost in the translation' things that would never fly here.

Meh. I can get all the inexplicable culture touchstones I need from Japan's evening television gameshow programming.

This morning the skies were nice and clear, so I met a friend for a few hours' bike ride. Clouds came in and it drizzled on us. As soon as we packed up to head home the skies cleared once more. I must have ticked off the weather gods...

In Fall of the Samurai, my clan has a British military advisor in employ. He won't stop saying "GOOD SHOW, WHAT-WHAT?"

Apparently, I can't order him to commit Seppuku.

I'm nice and stiff from golfing for the first time in 9 months yesterday, but at least I get to go stand around in a freezing ice rink for a couple of hours this morning.

I don't suppose there's any "surprise involuntary Seppuku" commands that you can issue? What-what?

Alright, alright-enough of that bit. Smut talk like that should be relegated to the "disregard" thread.

Nope. I park him in a city where he can support training of troops and try to forget about him.
