Any ship that get hit with an exploding torpedo, not a dud, will show up on the sunk list. Good old FOW showing up.

then my TBTs went after some fast moving DDs south of gasmata. These may be some of FatR's modified DDs. I may need to ask for the back and sides. no hits

Today we switched to 2 day turns. Date is late nov43. I do wonder the tactical effect for the allies. well turn only ran 1 day. Did not think u could change mid game.

You can change mid game- we've done so. Changed to 2 day turns in mid 42 from memory.

It makes things interesting.

When you are pretty sure your avengers are going after DDs, then set them to use bombs at low altititude. They are much more effective and a couple of 500 lb bombs will mess up your average japanese DDs. Torpedoes just miss most of the time.

It is quite possible this is the IJN DD stealth modification

I am alittle on edge about the change because in about the next 60 days I need to start some offensive and I have not been playing 2day turns so I dont have any experience w/2day.

Too true- the change should be via mutual agreement, however some experience in offensive operations in 2 day turns
-If you're not assaulting an atoll it gives you 2 days to unload before your opponent can react (if you time it right) or 1 day but you get to start further out to sea (outside his air search arcs)
-It slows your rate of assault on the ground as you can't attack, push the enemy out of the hex and immediately follow up the next day- however with overwhelming force you can set many of your units to pursue and be in the same hex (or nearly) as your opponent retreats to
-If you mess up it's going to hurt, often twice as much

Our first two day turn results in jap sweeps at terapo and Ramree Island. Kills are listed at the bottom. I expected a worse loss rate than this so OK so far.

Just say "No".

I did say ok but reserve the right to slow the game back to one day turns if the action gets too fast. I might like two day turns. It will make it easier for both of us to resupply our troops(him more than me as I now have a combat ship advantage). I just got 20 LSTs, 10 DDs, and 5 DEs in one turn.

I see that not having a restriction on cross border transfer(manchuko garrison at full pp price) has a dramatic game changing effect. I request counter balance.

The russians would have been providing supply in real life. Request u activate the russians so that I can provide supply to china. The russians will not cross border.

Sadly , I want a no rules game but the effect(manchuko garrison used in china) borks the chinese in this senario. I must also apologize to you for changing the long run effect of this game. I should have assumed command using the original house rules.

I hope I have played a good china. It is possible I am to blame for the failure. feel free to publish this request on your AAR.

Sincerly,
Paul
