Really sad news about Cahill. Such things should not be allowed to happen on the football pitch. Sad.

I hope England can rally the team for the championship.

Strange isn't it? Losing FOUR players since around the time of the squad announcement (and that's on top of losing Kyle Walker at the end of the season).....

How have Sweden's preparations gone?

I think it is going pretty much as planned. No new injuries. But some of the players in the squad was recovering from previous injuries and their participation is not yet certain.

We have one more training game to play so hopefully no injuries in that game.

Swedens defence looks to weak for comfort but our attack seems decent enough. But I am not sure that the attack will be enough versus stronger teams.

Its a very tough group we are both in - when you look at Poland's group, the Ukraine can rightly feel a little hard done by.....

It is to early to vote for me. There can still be injuries on starting players and so on. But I can understand why you want to start the voting.

Poland is not going to win any play.

Warsaw has spent over 60 millions of zloty to create "Sports Fans Zone".
Warsaw is donating all city's nurseries with 15 millions of zloty yearly.

Anyway, things aren't looking good for England. We're either out before we play Ukraine or we'll take a spanking at the hands of the Spanish in the QF.

Right, with the domestic football season all but over, lets turn our attention to the Euros.

Who is going to win?

My prediction is Netherlands or Germany. In that order

The other strong squads that could win: Spain, Italy, England, France (hmmm).

But something has to be said about the Euros: surprises are really possible. That's what we saw many times: for example Greece and Denmark won it.

And now why am I NOT counting the favourites (Spain)? Because of three factors. 1) they already won a lot, and people get tired of that, yes, it happens ; 2) the bad relations between the Barça and Real Madrid players (club utter rivalry); 3) the economic crisis (the morale variable is important on my book, yes, even if the players drive Porsches and Ferraris)

Which also means I don't see the Italians winnning it: the recent football corruption scandals show something is really rotten...

Oh, someone said -I can't remember- beware with RUSSIA!

Poland versus Greece ends in a 1 - 1 tie.

I suspect that there are a lot of disappointed polish fans out there. But all in all I think a draw was fair.
