Here's what awits Jeff;

"Police were called to JeffKs crib where his newborn was resisting a rest."

Haha...it was actually the older one who couldnt sleep last night...he wanted mommy pretty bad. We ended up falling asleep on his floor together.

For all who have asked...we have known it was going to be a boy for some time...he was 7 lbs 3 oz and 20 in long...spitting image of his older brother....so June is a busy month for us now....A June 12th bday, our anni on the 14th and our first childs bday on the 15th....

Thanks again all. Mom and baby are doing just fine.

You guys obviously enjoy September.

Just watched the Euro game between Germany and the Netherlands. The Germans looked like 11 undertakers, even after they won.

No riots. There's only been two really bad incidents during the tournament so far, both involving Russia's "fans".

Not wrong, especially not in Poland and ESPECIALLY in the Ukraine. Hooliganism is REALLY bad both places and heavily infested with neo-Nazis.

Got back from the baseball game at about 12:30am tithe. Kids seemed more attentive than I thought they would be, so it was a success. Woulda been nice if the Twins pitching hadn't given up 6 runs in the first inning though...

For the kids' first ballgame that was probably a good result - they saw a lot of action right from the beginning. Think how attentive they would have been had it have been a 1-0 game.

Yeah. My son was quite interested in the later innings too, relishing the small ball recrudescence of the Twins. Put a dinger or two in there for punctuation and he seemed quite pleased. When asked this morning about his favorite part of the baseball game, he quipped a most unexpected response: "The Twins turning double plays".

Hmmm...this kid may have some potential as a baseball fan.

ETA: Could be worse. His first sport notions would be about 'bowling' something or other on a green with a wicket. [shudders]

Royals turn a lot of double plays too... when you're turning a lot, that means a lot of opposing players on base.. meaning, as you know, you're pitching isn't so hot that night..... I think 3-4 years ago, the Royals led the league in double plays turned.... yay...

Glad they had fun. I love baseball.
