Yeah, I'm being a bit too esoteric with the jargon. In this sense, namely TV shows, "canned" means "formula" which means some dudes got together and dreamt up a show that would make money, and it went something like this:
"So, we need to make some money, dudes. What should we do?"
"Let's get a girl with big tits, she doesn't need to know how to act, and we'll add a couple of real actors who we give some lines."
"Okay, I'm cool with that, but what's the show about?"
"Well, it's about sex, but we can't actually put any sex in it because this is America and it's TV."
"Okay, I'm good with that, but why can't we have four or five girls with big tits?'"
"Well, the studio is putting us on a really tight leash as far as expenditures go."
"Sounds like a plan."

I see you're from Naughtyham, Sprior. I couldn't agree with you more. Here in the states corned beef and cabbage is the main staple on St. Pattie's Day. We export all our spam to Canada, they love it!

Of course Canadians love it - we resell it to M&M Enterprises who send it to the Far East. Almost as good as dog, there.

You are aware that the Chinese add melamine to it and ship it back to Canada as baby formula?

Yeah, but we caught on to that scheme so now we extract the melamine and turn it into picnic dishes and send the rest as foreign aid to various third world countries. Does our noble hearts proud!
PS - ever wonder why shipping companies are still doing well? Just follow the Spam ...

Well, if recently the discourse stinks, that would be more my fault, not yours. I think I'll shut up now.

Ternate: 503rd PIR had the easier task, it seems. A Level one airfield falls. Don't know about suppry yet. Looks like the RCT will land at Ternate and we will come back with more firepower for Manado. Shame about the Pete. Somebody was a little trigger-happy.

Ever since the last time change, the clock in my car is 1 hr ahead (actually about 62 minutes). Now, this has not been a big deal because I KNOW it's one hr ahead. Also I pride myself in being familiar with the natural world..like when the sun will peak over hill x in position y...yada yada.

Anyway, I get in my car last week, figuring I will stop at McD for the 2 sausage egg McMuffin deal...about 900 calories for only $3.50..and then I see the time...HORY CRAP! I AM SO LATE! I slide the transmission into the torquey gears and mash the throttle. I pray when I pass the ususal CHIP hangouts. I half park and run into the office. I scare the crap out of my staff.

It seems the baaahhhstards at the BMW dealership reset my clock without telling me....so I arrived 1/2 hr early for work instead of my usual 1/2 hr late. ******* compulsive Germans.

Also, there is this. So I get on the elevator yesterday at the hopstial and some POS has scratched his initials into the polished aluminum control panel ..completely defaced it. Now, I can't say for sure I would let the orthopedists off the hook, but more likely it is some ignorant homey with no self worth.

I find myself saying, "Goddamn vandals". Then I think, "Wait, I don't really have anything against the Vandals. I don't think I ever met one. Why isn't it called "visigothism"?"

Centurian: Right, which one of you toe-rags defaced this Dorian column?

Vandal: It were him, the Visigoth

Visigoth: No, he's lying. You know those Vandals.

Vandal: Was not.

Visigoth: Was too.

Vandal: Visigoth scum.

Visigoth: <draws sword and runs through his debate partner who collapses wide-eyed in death> The Vandals did it.

Always wondered the same thing about Vandals and vandalism but lacked the imagination to figure out how it likely happened. Did Lesbos get attributed its "ism" after a cat-fight??
And the time warps in WWII (c) keep expanding ...

That'll teach me to pay attention. First time I read it I saw 'Appian Way 180". My first though was, "how does Mandrake know the postal address of the Roman senate building?"

That's a good point. They do have some excellent titanium screws and pins that would do a magnificent job at cutting / etching other metals. Plus they're the cavemen of the physician world. HIT LEG WITH HAMMER! URGH!
