Could be, but we'll need 2-3 turns a week (firm) and a non-server based PBEM game. It just gets in the way. House rules are negotiable and only to avoid game glitches or abuses of reality. We're in a 2v2 PBEM now as the Aliies but the enemy are just too slow. We're both over 50 and do what we want reguarding the offspring, so no trouble there. :) We've both been wargaming over 35 years and I don't mean RISK. Chits, maps and computers. Let me know.

If it's a 3 turn a week or so game, chalk me up as interested!

sprior, how do you plan on splitting up responsibilities for your side?

I won't be responding to any queries till Onime gets back into the country. Feel free to comment and post , but all decisions will be made jointly. In other words, we're not deaf, just "not all here".

I could be interested, but not until the end of airshow season.

When is that? We are looking to start later in October. I feel strongly (as we've talked about it) that if you and Simon were to team up that Yuri would be very happy!

I think we might be able to delay if it would help you .

Late October should be workable. We're starting to tail off now in terms of displays, the end of September/start of October is the official end before we start stripping the girls down (oh er).

You let us know when. Yuri is in Europe on travel now, then moves from NYC to LA (By way of Omaha...look for the Summit!) and should be set up later in the month. I will leave for my east coast road trip as soon as he passes through Omaha, so I'll on the road at least 2 weeks. Late October should work for me too.

Thank you to all who expressed an interest in this 2x2 PBEM. It's going to be one to watch. Sometime in late October you'll See Sprior (AKA "Lord High Admiral Sprior", AKA Simon) joined by Dixie (AKA Martin) as the Japanese (AKA "Evil oppressors" , AKA "LYB's") go up against Onime (AKA "Comrade Red Mouse", AKA Yuri) and AW1 Steve (AKA "Steve-o", AKA "The Geezer") in what I hope to be a most entertaining brawl. I belive it will encompass a couple of 1sts. It will be an all veteran field , representing the Royal Navy,The Royal Air Force, the US Army and the US Navy.

On a personal note , I'm looking forward to going up against Sprior as her was kind enough to be my mentor many years ago when we 1st started. And of course Dixie has always been there to provide wisdom and advice through the same time period. I'm hoping the Redcoats (Yes I know they didn't wear red, but various shades of blue) will do a AAR .I'll try to get Yuri (as the more literarilly gifted of our team) to lead on one.

Thanks again.

Apparently I've stepped on some cross cultural minefield which proves yet again that the USA and Uk are still "divided by a common language". In the USA a person who has successfully completed one tour of service , regardless of length (as defined by THAT service) as a "Veteran". Had you been America (which I realize you are not) having served ONE enlistment period (Which I'm under the impression that you have) and done so to the satisfaction of that service (which may be assumed as you were permitted to re-enlist) then you would be considered a "veteran". Not a "Combat veteran" which requires participation in an exchange of fire (an example is my spouse was on active duty in the Pentagon on 9-11-2001 , recieved one months "hostile fire pay", but did not shoot back. She is NOT considered a "combat veteran"). So by our standards , you are considered a veteran. Apparently not so in the UK?

Apologies if offense given.

You haven't offended me, don't worry about that. I'm far too young to be a veteran
