Last day of summer today in Germany. Up to 30° C!

Summer? Was ist das auf Englisch?

I can only assume that your summer is a festival you have in Germany, a prelude to Oktoberfest perhaps?

Sumer....I think in the UK you call it the 28th of July. Miss it again this year?

What time on the 28th? If it was before 1700 then I was working in the hangar

That is some three weeks of warmth in a whole year instead of about 10 to 15 weeks as just 10 years ago. This is called global warming now!

You mean you leave your heating on for three whole weeks?

only occasionally. I know, for you island-monkeys, summer is something like "no rain".

Nah. Football is just getting started. Baseball is into the pennant races and playoff mode! Besides, John and I are matched up in the Matrix Baseball league semifinals.

With my coffee in hand, I raise it up for a 'good morning boys'. Fall colors have begun. I really noticed them this morning.

I would agree that fall is slowly showing face.

I, too, have coffee in my hand. I also have a mouth full of sunflower seeds. Has to be either seeds or gum these days...Mrs Krehbiel won't let me have the good stuff anymore..

I had a rough year, the summer schedule has played havoc with my PBEM games and my fantasy teams. If you want internet, going to secluded parts of Summit County Colorado is not your best move. :-)

I like the colors of fall. Deer hunting is under 8 weeks away.
The good stuff? Smoke or chew?
Seeds are addicting.

Now you have to deal with spent seeds all over the floor of your vehicles. That'll make her happy.

Last day of summer today in Germany. Up to 30° C!

I took my bike out for a little ride, but unfortunately, my feet hurt once I reach 60km...

Still, felt good! It can never be too hot when I ride my bike!

All i can say is: It never snows in september!!!

Afternoon all,

Rasmus

Morning tithe.

In current events: American envoy to Libya and his staff were assassinated in Libya. Very sad. I'm starting to think that the security situation in N. Africa (Libya in particular) may not be safe for "Westerners".

Has it ever been? Since 1970?

Ironic understatement was what I was going for. It's just sad to see it within-what-a year of their riddance of Qadhafi? Now with recent islamist extension into S. Mali, it's making much of N. Africa a no-go zone.
