Excellent. The addition of 113th Inf Regiment to the attack broke the Aussies who had put up a stiff fight.
I lost a lot of Engineers in that scrap, so they will be on R&R for a few days to recuperate losses, Fatigue and Disruption.

The IJA now gazes across the Straits of Johore, and its only January 3rd 1942!!

With your attack at Johore Baru you broke the two best quality units that usually form the basis of rate defense of Singapore. You should have a slightly easier time these now. I hope you have some more units on the way soon. You could do well crossing early if you get up around 1500-2000 AV.

Thanks for the reply obvert, sound advice as always.

Glad to hear the two Aussie brigades are part of the backbone of defence for Singapore

I'll have to do some ferreting about to get the extra troops to the Straits of Johore, The Imperial Guards and 5th Div are only about to enter Taiping.

I'm, not sure whether to stop the advance south at Taiping, and extricate these two Div's to Mersing, while doing a holding action in the north, or whether to get the troops from somewhere else.

I shall have to consult 'Deep Thought'!!!

My Nell's and Betty's have been sitting in Bangkok for several days watching allied ships going in and out of Port Blair. I kept checking support, supply, range settings, torpdoes, weather etc, but they would not attack.
In near desperation I checked the only other thing I could think of, the commanders.
