Some great down-to-the-wire baseball comin' up this week. Rays and Angels WCE# is down to 1. A's are two games behind Texas for the Division with 3 head-to-head games this week. This is it, folks! Down to the wire!

ETA: C'mon Boston-stick it to the Yankme's one last time this year, wouldja? Let the Orioles (tied with the Evil Empire) get the Division, will ya?

The Sox will stick it to the Yankme's! (I'm going to use that). It would be a good end to a miserable season.

My two teams (Indians - birth town, Red Sox - current home town) are currently both in tough battles for last place in their divisions. Indians have a chance to play spolier against the White Sox too. I have some cousins who are Tigers fans so I'm in with that.

Great races this year. I think I like the addition of a new wildcard team. No more though - otherwise baseball would be like the NBA & NHL where 90% of the teams are guaranteed a playoff appearance...

Well, bottom of the 6th in the A's/Texas game. At least the A's have a 2 run lead at this time. However, could've used a bit of support against the Yanks, ctangus. 10-2? Revenge? Yanks/Red Sox? Whatev.

How about them Cowboys? Ugh. Spankaroony! Now I'll get another PM from NY59Giants!

Good job, A's! 19 wins in July. 18 in August. 17 in September! Incredible run! Playoffs, here we come.

Oh, by the way, overpriced payroll teams (cough...Angels...cough...Rays...)...there's the door.

Hey Odin,

Hello after a long absence! Glad to hear you're sticking with the Kendo lessons. I've always thought that would be a cool martial art to excel in-like Arnise / Escrima. Weapons are cool.

Yes i usually was in here in the forum during office hours, but somehow my father (and Boss) has special ideas how to use the internet and simply switched me off;-)

Iam now in with smartphone:-P

As for Kendo i have 5.Kyo now...hope i will be ready to make my 4. in december!:-)

Hi all,

Martin, last night I watched:

"David Jason: Battle of Britain" (2010)

quote:

Sir David Jason pays tribute to Battle of Britain heroes

The 70 year old Only Fools and Horses star flew in a Spitfire for the documentary, David Jason: Battle of Britain. The show pays tribute to the many heroes who helped defend Britain against the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain 70 years ago.

Some of the footage is from your new base and with your new coworkers!

Jup...not that classic mosquito-style insect...which make me a bit nervous.

There were more of them approaching me in unusuall aggressive manner..i managed to wave some of but this one sits longe enough.

It was grey, and only 5 milimeters or so.

I wonder what kind of species this was.

For a small object like this, a very powerful sting.

I notice small 3mm flys with huge wings in the last years. They seem to be illegal immigrants from somewhere outside and look evil despite not biting me.

C'mon dude...you can't exactly blame me, can you? I mean...an AR-15! What red-blooded American man under the age of 60 wouldn't love to shoot one of those babies? Peep sight? 20 round (civilian) mag? .223? Ejection finger toggle? I'm starting to drool here, man...

What sort of man under the age of 60? Well I'm five years under. And as an antique myself, I tend to reach for them.

An AR-15 seems like a good argument to check flights from Raleigh to Omaha...

Just too bad that they are half the price from Frankfurt to NYC

Now I would have expected for you to be loyal to your roots and reached for the K-98 or P-38.

And you'd have to hurry....the summit is Thursday night!
