It's OK, he's in the US currently. We're allowed to say the "H" word: Hell, heck, halibut and...yes...Hitler.

Third day of the hurricane by proxy tithe. New and improved, now with wifi.

The office got their power back today. Hopefully we will see a complete recovery by the end of the week at least as far as work is concerned. The private affairs seem to be somewhat worse. Everyone we knew in LI says they have no power. Truly scary.

Spent 4 hours taking apart a Hurricane aileron system. Spent 10 minutes greasing it and inspecting it and four more hours putting the damn thing back together And it's still needs rigging properly.

How did we ever win the war?

You didnt, we did.

Pffft I say. Pfft to you, Sir! You were late. Whichever 'we' you are referring to You're lucky we even let you play. If you roll up for a football match two hours late you don't get to play

Besides which, you only won because we lent you our best toys Well, the ones we didn't really want any more.

I'm curious sir.....which of these "toys" do you speak? And silly Englishman! War is not cricket! Or that other silly game you play, soccer I belive it is called. A wise war fighter comes when he's ready , not when he's called , like some form of spaniel!

Hey Torsten: Do the Germans permit trick-or-treating? I imagine the German iteration would be that the kids go out and collect candy in costumes and later have to turn 102% of it to the government.
