I was at a cigar manufacture's company today. He has a cigar lounge there as well.
Over the day, the place was filled with police officers. Interesting to hear them compare who of their officers in the squad shot the most people dead, who holds the "record"...

Best part: Someone talked about a suspected cop-killer who was caught or turned himself hin, I didn't really get that part. The officer telling the story said: "Too bad we didn't get him. He wouldn't have been caught alive!"


Reassuring to see how trigger-happy your cops are, and how the turn into judge, jury and executioner when the find an alleged cop-killer...

Sure. They may have been talking **** and I'm sure not everyone is like that. But still... hearing this wasn't really great.

Not that I wouldn't understand it, but the prospect of someone mistakenly being accused to have killed a cop...

Keep in mind that you are in one of the most violent metropolitan areas of the entire nation. Likely, the only place you would hear more of this type of talk would be NYC.

Very pleased to see that our Governor *didn't* pardon the turkey this year. The turkey was remanded to the custody of the farm, where it will be processed along with all the other birds raised there. Good move, gov.

Need the bird for tomorrow. You can't defrost a bird at room temp. The prefered way is in a refrigerator, but with this bird that would take four days. In water it will take about eight hours.
