ORIGINAL: Symon Hey, hey, hey, just a minute, there, Francois, ole buddy. John was Jesus' brother after all. Oh, John's a great first name, John. Actually, that's my fathers first name, and my son's third {ducks, covers, and all that}. It's just that John doesn't match Windsor, doesn't sound right John Windsor. Could be worse, though. They might choose Wystan, Wystan Windsor, anyone? Yet Wystan is Auden's given name, not at good as Jesus brother, but close... That's the point, I suppose, you're blessed with a first name, but cursed with a family name, which you need to match. I loved Charles as a name, but Charles Charton, seriously? On the other hand, Marcel Charton sounds perfect, but I never could decide the mother (Marcel sounds terribly outmoded here)... Now, Marcel Windsor... Not as daring as Bilbo, but... quote:
ORIGINAL: Symon If that darling Lady, Elizabeth, ever visits Alabama, Beaudy will probably break through the secuirty line and widdle on her shoe, and get an OBE. Oh, yeah, can you imagine, Sir Beaudy, the Wonder Dog. Woof !! Hmm, you're trying to get your dog knighted. That's another way of thinking about it. Nobility is hard to get in our republican countries... We have a hen named Robert (yeah, I know, it is a rooster name, but then our cat, a male, is named Chantal, definitely girly), may be I should go for Robert. My current hopes of nobility involve two generations of a tough exam and a very old decree from Napoleon the third which still escaped the legislator... Robert might be a good idea. I wouldn't bet on Beaudy, sounds a bit too French for that nation of shopkeepers. Robert, on the other hand, is scottish enough... (William, Kate, if you're reading this...) Francois
