January and February of 1942 suck for the Allies. It's nothing but a stream of bad news. I almost feel bad. Almost.

ESPECIALLY in the LYB super-uber scenario.

August 1945 is coming. Atomic bomb!

Yes, yer right. August 1945 is the date that I've moved the Japanese atom bomb research project forward to in this scenario with the uber research. What? You didn't think I could advance this research too?

So...

Over the Christmas holiday / break, I finished off book 5 of the "Game of Thrones" series. I'm caught up now.

***Spoiler Alert***

***Spoiler Alert****

So WTF!?! Why did Jon Snow get greased? One of my favorite characters died within 50 pages of the end.

I watched the first two seasons of Game of Thrones over the holidays. I have to say I enjoyed them very much and will start reading the books, right after I finish the last Wheel of Time book that is released next week. Martin sure has no problem with bumping off major characters, does he?

Mike,

I got hooked on the books last year after watching both seasons on HBO. The show was excellent, the books better yet. I just wish that it wasn't a 4000+ page commitment to the first 5 books!

Late Morning tithe... A wee bit sad today, as my Mother passed-away peacefully in the early hours the morning. She had a cancer similar to mine, and was only diagnosed 3 months ago. But unfortunately because she was 87, she didn't have the strength for the treatment and to fight it. She was happy though, as she had a good life, 4 successful children and a parcel of grandchildren. The cycle of life continues though, I am now the oldest of the family, but maybe not the wisest.

I need tips Steve... lots of advice on PoultryBoy.

I need to know his weaknesses in play, and why he wears woolen jerseys?
