Des-you got that turn done yet, mate?

[sprayed a mouth-full of coffee over the keyboard and screen]

Asked my Chinese toaster about this one I did, as my toaster is very wise. It's reply was that 'Chickens are very impatient birds, especially when they are worried'

....or in terms the chicken could understand....."BAK-BAKAAAWK"......hope I'm getting the pronunciation right.

No. You laid an egg on that one.

Listen mate-if you bollocks up the turn and short out your computer by spitting coffee on it, I'm not redoing the turn. That's on you.

For your information CB I do the turn electronically in my head, and upload it on to my laptop for communication to you. That is how advanced my playing style is, also means I can read the code and see your every move.

Emu Mnemonic.....its like that move but with better acting.

My Keanu Reeves immitation (I've been told it's pretty good) follows. Ready for it? OK, here goes:

"Whoa!"

Thank you. Thank you. [bows]

Yeah, I've checked this out from time to time. Not sure about some of the language he uses to describe you though. For example, what does he mean addressing you as Colonel Jävlar? I just don't understand...

Funny, GT obviously didn't manage to translate Colonel ... and sure Johan would say something like that

... I expect him to recuperate though. If I know him right (after two previous campaigns), he'll be back with even more forces. Good thing with that is that I expect he then has to let go of some other territorial ambition, thus easing the pressure in some other theatre. For the time being, I guess the Chinese will dig in and wait for the upcoming storm ... and as always, have a little eye out towards doing some mischief.

Hi all,

Right now we have about 40 cm of snow (this is more than 14 inches) in the past 24 hours and it is still falling very very very heavy...

Exactly 1 month ago we got 50+ (17 inches) cm of snow and now this...

Hi all,

Hi, and thank you Per and Leo.

This was my solo check ride. 25nm to point B, with a full stop landing and return. Knew I could do it and had a full day rental on the plane (a Zodiac) and thought I would just do the Cert course and come back and get Beaudy and go flying. Had Beaudy in his Beast Rider harness, and the Navy guys were impressed, so Beaudy went up for my solo.

He has this Beast Rider harness for when he rides with me on the Harley, and the plane's seat straps thread through his chest loop like it was made for it. So he got to go up on my check ride. God love the Navy.

But there was a bunch of guys from the X-plane group out there and they took pictues of Beaudy in the right seat. We traded cards and they will send pics. Soon as I get them, I will post them.

Ciao. JWE

Nice John - please post new pics when you get them!

I found the trick with jagged edges is to work with the images in large size (as you have with the image above) and only shrink it down to the final size when you are ready to paste it down over the background layer.

Hi Reg, thanks for that mate... I did try this, and made the work about 3x times the size needed, but when I down-sized the image, it was blurred.

I prefer the term "softened"...

Try using a sharpen filter. Most editors have them though it might take a few goes before it looks right. Playing with images this size takes a bit of practice and few will approach the skills of Cathartes...

Beaudy the Wonder Dog says;

Dad got his Sport Cert today and took me up for a ride. Put dog nose marks on the passenger window but hey! Woof! I got tired of hanging out on the ground with a bunch of Navy Ensigns; they were cool and gave me lots of treats, but I wanted to be with Dad and I might have been a bit pissy, as it were.

You can’t believe how cool it was. There I was, sitting in the right seat, and Dad was talking to me the whole time. Ok, on my back, legs up, looking for some love, I’m an airborne dog.

Very cool, John! Congratulations!

Morning tithe.

WU starts her first full week of work today. The last 2-odd months of job searching have been really rough on her but she came through with flying colors! Hopefully, as she accumulates experience and impressive titles, it gets easier from here. Maybe by this time next year she'll be making 6 figures and I can go back to school.

Unfortunately, this also means that the shower is occupied.

Early Sunday morning tithe here...Boy unit Mk. 1.0 woke us up at 6am with the 6 dreaded words in the parental lexicon: "Dad, I don't feel so good."

For you lot with wee ones-how's this flu season been for you? This is probably our worst nationally since 2009's pandemic.

Sara and Alex both were down hard with it before Christmas, and over a dozen people at work have been out with it, but I've been very lucky to dodge it so far!

It's snowing! Cue 2/3rds of BBMF leaving early to cope with the chaos that snow brings to the roads of Lincolnshire. My favourite excuse from one of the guys was that he didn't want to tackle the big hill near his house when the snow was deep. We're in the flattest part of the entire UK here, still he got away with it...

Got a five gallon bucket outside with water next the bird feeder. Gets some ice on top overnight, melts for the birds after the sun hits it. Past couple of weeks it wouldn't all melt but there would be some melt water on top. The last few days that didn't even happen. Now it's frozen solid, right down to the bottom. Overnight lows at the airport last night and the night before, 6F. More like ~10 to 12F right here.

Ah Andre? American Military university is where I'm doing work on my masters. If it's a con , it's a big one. A VERY large number of military and government folks go thru them. They were created as "distance learning for the military".

Perhaps he meant his 'fraternal home' in Scotland. He didn't specify where this huge hill was or the relationship between this hill and his commute to BBMF, did he?

I wouldn't want to tackle the big hill near my home from the Palisades when the snow was deep either! Course, I haven't lived there for 15 years and it never snows near this big hill, but IF there was snow there when I lived there-I wouldn't want to tackle it!
