Concerning this little accident - as you know, the newsies quickly concluded that the cleaning girl had "stolen" the train and crashed it, making it a big international news story.

The same news papers now have very small (and well hidden) articles saying; "It seems that the police theory is that it probably was an accident, the woman dropped a seat that hit the dead man's grip in a way that started the train"

Hey Kansas:

I hear subsoil moisture there still sucks and that's likely to interfere with Winter wheat this year. S'truth?

Also, I hear that Te'o faked his girlfriend thing intentionally. The most cogent explanation? So that he wouldn't be drafted by Kansas City this year. [rimshot-ba dump bump]

Yes, awful. Wichita area has had 7/100ths of an inch since Dec 1.. just to give you an idea..

I wouldn't want Teo anyways.. very overrated...ND as a team was, too.

We need a QB and we're complete... there are not any QBs worth a pick this year.. the number one pick.. and we're a year late... oh well, Cassel's career will be resurrected by Reid.. you watch :)

A new euphemism: instead of "choking the chicken" it will be "visiting Manti Te'o's girlfriend"

Evening tithe.

Shiny new PC built. Just love doing that. Feels like I'm 10 years old again with a new box of meccano.

Morning tithe... town is busy today as we are running our annal triathlon today. If anyone wants to have a look at it here is the web-feed Challenge Wanaka.

If you see a sign reading 'Go Team Gusto Go', painted on a sheet. Then hangup on a hedge, then you are see our house, and you might also see me cheering from a wheelchair beside it.

Go Team Gusto Go

Sound like fun, Des. Maybe while you're waiting for the race to start, you can send me the turn? Just a thought.

Hi all,

Hmmm... money...

From: Michael Bowen

Dear Friend,

My name is Michael Bowen , I am a private business consultant for very eminent persons in the Asian and South African region. They have appointed me to source on their behalf a foreigner with whom they can jointly entrust a reasonable amount of money, which will be channeled into a highly lucrative business venture. I got your address through the chamber of commerce and industries.

They have $170million (One Hundred and Seventy million United States Dollars). They request strict confidentiality due to their public nature, they prefer to be anonymous hence I have been given the mandate to source for someone of high business experience with very good reputation.

Proposal in summary:
My clients are top government officials in the Asian and South African region they want the funds to be invested through a well-established businessman abroad who can front for them without disclosing their identity. You will be made the beneficiary of the funds in order to manage these funds on their behalf and you will be awarded 20% of the total sum as your share in this deal then invest the rest for my clients.

So if truly you are interested in proceeding, kindly indicate by sending a response to my e-mail address above. ( michaelbowen549@yahoo.com Or michaelbowen929@yahoo.com )

Yours Sincerely,
Michael Bowen

Get yourself a gmail address and get negotiating. I do from time to time, and it's fun to see how annoyed you can make them. You'll need a persona, whether you're a greedy businessman, a reverend of the Church of the Holy Thread or a total non-computer savvy person who can't scan documents properly or similar, the results will be the same....

Wasted time and effort for these chancing con-men out in Nigeria. (or Ghana, or Russia, etc...)
