Drug culture book, KEM? Based on your experiences in the navy?

I should try that. Whats the likelihood of me getting killed 25 times without seeing the enemy?

Not quite. I don't think that there's a single level 1 tank that could take 25 hits before being destroyed

It has its moments. Middle tiers are probably the most fun. Low levels everything is terrible, especially if it isn't Russian. At high levels there just seems to be a lot of rage. Just do what I did and get a Matilda and watch the incoming rounds bounce away.

Be aware, in game is often full of morons and I suspect your ignore list will fill quickly. But the forums are usually fairly reasonable. If you're ever lonely look me up.

I'm hoping world of warships comes along soon. I played navyfield for a bit but lost interest.

Play Russian tanks. The general consensus is that the devs have been generous in regards to all things Soviet.

Its not that bad. I died 3 times but killed 1 tank. This is significantly better than my last experience with a game of this kind. A friend convinced me to download Planetside 2. Without exaggeration, I died 25 times without even having a chance to shoot at a legitimate target.

Me being who I am, thats the one I went for.

I would appreciate any tips on research/buying improvements and when it is time to buy a new tank.

I would say that there's no definite rules. Keep with the MS1 until you feel like you've got a good grasp of the game at the very least. Research all the modules and get an elite tank and train the crew up. If you've got the patience then wait until you've got enough credits to buy a new tank and train the crew to 75% There's a huge difference in that 25% I raced through the early tiers and sort of regretted it, now I'm trying to play 50 games minimum on each tank. Eventually you'll find a tank you really like, when that happens it's worth investing in some equipment.

Also remember that to get anything good you have to go through tier 4 and the light tanks there. Those are scout tanks and scouting is hard, so unless you enjoy it blitz through that one as fast as you can. The scout tanks get thrown into some horrible match ups and unless you know what you're doing it's a horrible experience. I tried scouting and I was terrible.

Keep an eye out for special events. If the NA server is like the EU one then the KV1S gets bonus credits most months.

Hi all,

quote:

ORIGINAL: Chickenboy

Don't try the hengliding...

Two Irishmen walk into a pet shop. Right away they go to the bird section and Sean says to Paddy; "Dat''s Dem". The shopkeeper comes over and asks if he can help.

"Yeah, we''ll take four of dem dere budgies in dat cage op dere", says Mick, "Put dem in a pepper bag"

The shopkeeper does as asked and the two pay for the birds and leave. They get into Mick''s van and drive until they reach a cliff with a 500ft drop.

"Dis looks loike a grand place", says Mick.

He then takes the two birds out of the bag, places them on his shoulders and jumps off the cliff.

Paddy watches as his friend drops off the edge and goes straight down for a few seconds followed by a loud "Splat!"

As Paddy looks over the edge of the cliff he shakes his head.

"Focket Dat," Paddy says, "dis budgie jumpin'' is too dangerous for me..."

A few minutes later, Seamus approaches. He too has been to the pet shop and is carrying the familiar 'pepper bag.'

Seamus pulls a parrot out of the bag and Paddy notices that in the other hand Seamus is carrying a gun.

"Watch this Paddy" he says, as he launches himself over the edge of the cliff.

Paddy watches as half way down Seamus takes the gun and blows the parrot''s head off. Seamus continues to plummet until he joins Sean''s mashed remains at the bottom of the cliff.

Paddy shakes his head and says, "An oim never troyin'' that parrotshooting oider..."

After a few minutes, Danny strolls up. He too has been to the pet shop and walks up with his 'pepper bag.'

Danny pulls a chicken out of the bag. He puts the chicken above his head, holds its legs and launches himself off the cliff with the same result.

Once more Paddy shakes his head.

"For me life Danny, first der was Sean wit his budgie jumpin, den Seamus parrotshooting and now you fockin'' hengliding..."

Did I ever tell you about the time I killed 7 enemy tanks and took 30 hits and survived to win the match. You'll soon learn how to get the hang of things.

I would agree.. I feel like mid to low level teirs has more to do with skill. Upper level is mainly who has the best gun and the most armor..

I have maybe a dozen tanks, and none are higher than tier V.

Who all plays... I would be interested in playing/platooning..I platoon with PizzaMan from here.

You can do that a lot with the T18... it seems uberstrong for a Tier II...

Do you have a better spicy gumbo recipe than what I currently have?

Mine is off the top of my head.. nothing special.

Have more gumbo recipes than you can choke a gator with. Jeez, everybody out here has a Mawmaw, Auntie, Daddy, Uncle or cousin that makes real, authentic, cajun gumbo and they are all different I've seen it with Tabasco, Picapeppa, Tony Chachere's, Zatarains, Tone, K-Paul's, and Slap Ya Mama. But basically, some own-yown, de gar-leek, a big 'ol peppa, file, and the roux. Throw in a mess 'o andouille, crab, shrimps, tomatoes and okra, and that's pretty much it.

I think the whole secret is the roux. Make a good roux and you get a good gumbo. I prefer using Picapeppa and Tony Chachere's seasoning because I use jasmine rice, and the flavors seem to enhance one another. But try this one
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/good-new-orleans-creole-gumbo/
It's pretty good as it stands and can be a good departure point for experimentation.

Ciao. JWE
