Status: offline 		Whoa. Luzon appears pretty vulnerable after first round of recon. 1/2 of 7th SeaBees was destroyed last night but most of 26th SeaBees and an EAB got ashore. San Jose is fully reapired and now starts the build to level 2. LYB carrier(s) NW Manila. Cagayan should be level 5 in 3-4 days.

Status: offline 		Evidently there are no full LYB divisions on Luzon. That is good news. Perhaps a brigade at Clark and 112 tankettes/ Remarkably little at Manila.


As both Batangas and Lucena are unoccupied, I think it will be best to take both so we can put about 100 fighters in the air on Day 2.

Biggles' mates are going to be embarrassed when they find out he just bombed that Essex class. Note the multiple 5" turrets near the island. That isn't any Jap carrier, even though it's flying the rising sun.

Well, that's what they get for trying to sneak into Japanese controlled waters by flying their colours! Didn't anyone tell them that someone always fails to get the message warning friendly aircraft of the ruse? Oh-oh ... the ship's captain didn't get the message about people not getting the message, did he.

No and yes. They can get there first and we can bring more. 503rd PIR either has to walk or fly to Cagayan because they cant reach the landing beaches from Cotabato. Their Type II's can drive down there quickly but they have to figure out where we are going first. As for bringing in major help from Formosa or Japan or Indochina...seems like they should be doing that. That is the reason for the rush.

I imagine that there is some imagination in that one as well. Why are the other ships in such close formation? Why are the drawn planes facing the stern of the ship? He at least got the right number of rays on the rising sun flag (16), so there's a consolation.

Amphbious taffys either loading or departing at Derby, Darwin, Noumea, Merauke, Samlauki, Sorong, Cagayan, Butuan all bound eventually for Luzon.

Fifth Air Force flying in to Sidate (now level 5) so the B-24's can hit Southern Luzon. Smallish P-38 sweep over Manila planned. Air raids over Altimonan and Leyte.

I decide to airlift 503rd to Cagayan.

Crusier bombardment of Baybay on Leyte.

Light cruiser group to San Jose to protect some LCT's and perhaps draw in a carrier raid.

Formed up most of the CVE's after finding LYB carriers NW of Manila. They will be needed to provide air support on the run in to Luzon. The upgrades wilol have to wait as the opportunity is too great.

Well, techincally Bolt-On Girl is still married. As a matter of fact, so am I.

She was supposed to go on the girl's night trip but her step mother got hurt in a car accident.

Diabetics? On an Asian diet?

With that army you've got tasked for Ramree, would you consider a landing at Moulmein instead? What's JJ got there? Taking Moulmein as a coup de main would unhinge JJ's entire Burma position.

With that lot you've got tasked for Ramree, it's exceedingly unlikely that he would be able to dig you out before you built Moulmein's defenses and airfield into a fortress.

2) Our randing force would be 50% disrupted.

There has to be something there. The place has a garrison requirement. Level 4 airfield <drools>

What's recon show you? Would it be worth another two months of prep time for the main body of your force to prepare for a different position? Honestly, I'd recommend that over slogging through the malarial fens of Ramree.

Plus, just think of your opponent's facial expression when you landed in force at Moulmein.

Poor, suffering San Jose: <I always felt poor suffering San Jose..you know..Saint Joseph..was a most deserving saint. He had to go along with the whole mythology thing.
