I had an Italian toaster for about twenty years, wonderful thing it was to and never burnt a piece bread once. I now have a Chinese one, and it burns by toast all the time. But I must admit that my Chinese toaster is very wise and does talk to me in the mornings, whereas my Italian one never said a word.

In Switzerland I noticed that the francophones will not even acknowledge you unless you try to make at least a token introduction in French. Maybe Italian toasters work in a similar way.

Could be.
Something very similar happened like that two years ago. I was shoveling snow off the roof. I was up at the peak near the chimney when I began to follow the snow down. Dropped about 12' into the snow pile I had had just cleared off the roof. No harm done (not including dignity). I had to go back up because the shovel stayed up there. I was hoping a neighbor had filmed the incident for funniest home videos and some easy cash.

Nope it was another case of Murphy's Law: The stupidity of any action is measured by the number of people who see it happen.

After that into the house for a quick stiff shot of Black Velvet. Dignity begins the healing process.

Again I proved my signature.

Ahhh... Satisfying day when you can coordinate some Kamakazis, land DBs with escorts and 800kg bombs, and several fleet carriers on an allied marshaling point and get away with 4-6 CVEs sunk for no losses on your part in late January 1945!

Where is that Snoopy dancing gif...

Good on you, mate! Never mind the peanut gallery, you done good! The Emperor will be pleased.

That's because anything built in Italy usually breaks as soon as you try and use it. Unless it is built by Ferrari, which is unlikely in the case of a toaster.

At least it wasn't made by Lucas - the Prince of Darkness!

This is true. But the amount of snow on the ground is about right.
Good morning and coffee.

I see you're in Hokietown, you going to school there? My sister lives over in Radford and I used to work in that area for several years, especially outside of Blacksburg/Christiansburg towards Pilot Mountain.

That's amazing. Not like Santa Cruz is a small town or hasn't been incorporated for quite some time. Interesting.

I think it's great that the community rallied to demonstrate support that way, don't you?

You gonna stop me now? Huh? You can't be on duty all day every day, you know. Sooner or later, there's going to be a new Sherriff in town.

And his name is Chickenboy.
