Today I got asked if I wanted to fly on the Lancaster on the 15th (I do!!), it's over London for Trooping the Colour. My first trip on the Lanc (after last week fell through) and my first time seeing the even live and we'll be at the head of a flypast. Good times, even if I am having to go into work for an extra day. Unless someone breaks the old girl.

Please take and post pictures! I know you will, but had to ask!

I'll do what I can, however part of my tasking is to take pictures of the flypast as it forms up behind us so there won't be many pics of that.

Oh, playing coy are we. I Googled it, a annual Swedish event. Beats the hell out of the Chicken Dance.

Ah, you meant THAT

I thought you meant some smiley or other thing I had posted here on THE THREAD!!! I ransacked my memory but came up with zilch.

... and sorry, "The frog dance" is only done at either Midsummer of Christmas. Don't think I've done it for at least 40+ years

Now, now NoDak. Let's be nice. After all, he was kind enough to provide us with his "Dorf in the snow" image a few months ago for our amusement. T's supplied many "amusing" toe pictures for our betterment. Aren't we about due for a NoDak picture to snicker at?

Ah, yes. The Dorf pic. The Memories.
My Feb/Mar snowy empire pic not good enough, eh. To bad I didn't get one of me sliding off the roof into a snow bank two winters ago

Still waiting for that Frog Dance.

Hi all,

I watched the "Air France 447: Vanished" episode of "Mayday" / "Air Crash Investigation" last night on "National Geographic"...

I was thoroughly disappointed... although this type of show is always considered "light entertainment for the masses" it was below par even for them (i.e. one can watch that show and usually still learn something)...

The documentary show never even mentioned that Airbus A330 transitioned to "Alternate Law" after pitot tubes froze and AutoPilot disengaged at 10 km altitude... in normal conditions the pilots simply can't stall the Airbus due to all protection mechanisms build in "fly-by-wire" computers... but this is only valid for normal flying (i.e. "Normal law")... in "Alternate Law" this was not the case and pilot error due to wrong inputs with the flying stick stalled the Airbus and plunged it to ocean in long long long 2-3 minute fall during which pilots were totally unaware of their wrong inputs with flying stick... all they had to do is stop yanking the flying stick and push it forward so that the nose of the Airbus lowers and the airspeed increases which would exit the stall...

Good morning all.

No Frog Dance by Per. Moving forward. Been trying to get my supervisor to do the Frog Dance for years. No go. Darn these Swedes.

I survived it well, left the house in better shape than when Amy left. It ended at 2115 last night when Amy and my son John returned from their trip to DC. Not an egg or sausage patty left in the house...

Some minute changes in the house, hopefully she won't notice, and hopefully you guys won't tell... Threw out some piles of hers that she hadn't touched in years, and some old electronics that she kept saying she wanted to recycle, but never did. She will notice eventually, but I can just shrug my shoulders and smile...

Off to my fun time next Tuesday at 0500 to Columbus, OH for Origins 2013.

You know you have the two week rule in your favor. If she doesn't notice within two weeks, you say it has been like that/there/had that/etc. for a long time. Discussion over.
