You lot had any problems with flooding, or is that further South?

There were very big problems with flooding in central Europe... dozens of people died... big property damage...

Leo "Apollo11"

Yes. We've been reading about it in the news here. Most of the reported flooding is in central Europe (France, Germany), but didn't know about further north or-what about your neck of the woods, Leo?

I hear, from a co-worker, and verified by NWS records that it was warmer in AK yesterday than here in TN, guess that is what happens when you shift your exposure to the sun nearly 50 degrees in six months!

That's normal here. Worse, is when it is warmer at the North Pole than here.

Hungary, the Czech Republic and Austria have been badly hit as well.

The Danube (and other rivers parallel to it) hit almost historic record high... fortunately we had enough time to prepare and our levies are high enough so there was no flooding at all in Croatia... upstream 8(ungary, Austria, Germany) there was a lot of damage and lives lost...

Hmmm ... the forum seems to be a little jumpy. Getting internal server errors now and then.

That has been happening for weeks for me. I just come back later. I can now blame it on an INP for page 666...

I think my previous four-in-a-row INP created a poultrygeist.

I leave LF in the hands of my colleagues for a few days and they break her. To cap it all off I think she's angry and taking it out on me

Good morning, clear and 70F this morning on the drive into work. Supposed to get to 90F today and have a minimal chance (20%) of T-storms (probably the pop up variety) over the weekend. Looks like a good weekend for outdoor activities!

Also nice here. Thunderstorms are in the area for the next few days. Gwinner, about 100 miles south of here, had 8" of rain this morning.
Be nice to get a good thunderstorm. Haven't had a good prairie pounder this year. No tornadoes or straight line winds. Just a real good light show.

We've got nuthin' but rain: showers, thundershowers, thunderstorms, toad stranglers, the works.

It's part of being in the RAF. The RAF part of the garrison down in the Falklands is not a 'formed unit' instead it mostly consists of individuals detached from their parent unit for a length of time. I'll get four months in the South Atlantic before returning to BBMF afterwards. I'll still belong to BBMF but 1312 Flight will be borrowing me for a bit.

Some pretty good pounders to the west. Maybe around 3:00 or 4:00 to get here. Could be a good show.
