Figured I'd pop in and give a tithe...been away for a bit.

I went on a detail to DC last fall, enjoyed myself so much I decided to pack up the familia and move there. Found a lovely house just south of Annapolis that we will hopefully be moving into in 3-4 weeks. After we're settled I hope to return on a regular basis.

By the way I'll need to find Symon (aka...) and discuss what to look for in used small craft to navigate the Chesapeake.

There is no better place on earth to sail! I grew up in Baltimore and Glen Burnie and love going back to visit. Glad I don't have to live and work (and commute) there anymore, though.

I took in another Best Picture Oscar winner over the weekend. 1946 - "The Best Years of Our Lives". Top, top notch! This one has instantly jumped into my top 10 list. I need to give things a little time before I see where on that list it settles. I highly recommend a viewing, Brothers.

I also watched the 1930 Best Picture winner, "All Quiet on the Western Front". A very well made film for 1930!

Just found out "FiFi" is in town this week. Going to visit her and anything else the CAF has brought to town with them on Friday. Plenty of pictures will be made!

'Fraid not. The ground crew don't get as many trips as we'd like on her, especially over major events. Guided tours of the inside on the other hand....

Sounds like an interesting day is ahead. Just mention my name and they'll say "who?" In fact, tell them you need a look inside to keep up with the Brit and his photos of WW2 warbirds

Saw this back in college in early eighties in my Cold War History in Film class. It was interesting that at the time it was thought to be to much for the general public and with drawn for distribution for a while even though it addressed the integration of the troops back into society. I guess the studio types wanted to move on to musicals and entertaining the masses.

I will them them I have been challenged by a "gentleman" who works on the WWII British equipment in GB to get better pictures of the B-29 than he has been showing of Lancasters. Will see how far that gets me...
