Not unless it's been converted plus ai was not written for stacking limits I think ai is immune but cannot be 100 per cent certain

Ai will Not adjust for new stacking levels on continental bases

Quiet China is mostly for learning ... not very many people play those for a real game. But, they are REALLY good for learning.

Now that is interesting, so the base AI handles everything there. Great, I'm getting my butt kicked by a vanilla AI routine.

A question about the AI, the strategic level can be set in the editor but what about the tactical level?
For example what makes an air unit fly high altitude instead of low altitude attacks?
I see here and there some light Japanese bombers that drop there loads from 18k ft what seems to be a waste of time.
Also the targets, bombing empty airfields in Sumatra that seem to be no threat to Japan seems strange.
And what about the awareness of danger? Just some days before Bataan was conquered Japan tried to pass I guess to Manila and of course got pounded by the minefields & coastal artillery at Bataan.

All new Scenarios:

Ship Class:

1517 Tachibana

Wpn Slot 7: Type 2 Depth Charg Facing: "00- Front" ........ I think should be "02 - Rear"

and

Some leader will never be accessible in game because they where wrong flaged. I belive this is a mistake because why should someone create a leader for nothing?

Leader 14051 Sprague, Thomas L. He is a Radm but flaged as „05 - Ship“. Because that there are never Radm selctable for ship`s (highest Rang is Captain) and leader which are are flaged as „05 -ship“ could never selected as a Task force commander I suggest to re flaged him as a „04 – Task Force“.

The same problem for e.g. McMorris, Chas H.; Number 12359. In Scenario 28 he is Right now he is classified as "type: 05-ship". So if u remove him (maybe by accident) he seems not to be accessible because he has a rank of an Rear Admiral.
Would it be better to give him the "type 04 Task Force" or "Type 01 Headquarters" like Leader Mitscher, Marc A?
Mitscher`s Number is 12510 and he is used as a ship commander but is internal a Task Force leader.
In WW2 McMorris was a ship Commander, Task force Commander and Chief of Staff of the Pacific Fleet.

There are also some Leader which have the same Problem
Number:
9009
9010
9311
10158
12359
14051
14052

P.S. I did not look at the axis side.

I suggest simply to reflaged them all to type “04 - Task Force"

Maybe Leader 16376 Erskine should be reflaged as “02 – Large Ground Unit”

Are you sure about this? I have never checked it, but I definitely have seen RADM with good skills commanding some auxiliary ships (and AOs), after longer game.
It may be, they simply get promoted, but maybe AI can chose them, when new ship is produced, and Captain is random?

They may become TF commander, if they are Captain of largest ship, but if they disappear from selection, when they no longer command ship, there is definitely something wrong.

You can Check this for yourself...

1.) Take one of the new scen..maybe scen 10 ironman (download from this thread...

2.) Start a new game as allied with historical first turn off

3.) Go to pearl Habour take the CA "USS New Orleans" and replace the leader (Good, H. Cpt.)P

3.) Go to the CA "USS San Fransico" (also Pearl Habour) and replace the leader (here McMorris, Chas H)

You will find many leaders..also you will find the leader Good, H. Cpt.. The one you had replaced...so the
first step was ok

4.) replace McMorris, Chas H with a leader..maybe Good, H.

5.) Now go to the go back to the CA "USS New Orleans" and try to replace the leader....in the list of aviable leader there is no McMorris, Chas H. he should be aviable from 06.12.41 (look at the database)..so he is not reachable anymore..not for ships or as a taskforce commander or as a HQ commander. he is in that game ..but not rechable....

The same for Leader 14051 Sprague, Thomas L.....

He is Commander of a PT-boat. When you replace him from that command..he will also be "lost"

I think it is simply a Database error...a smal one...

All you have to do is set a rule that neither a conversion, nor a confession can be coerced, and then such attempts mean nothing.
The concept that a person needs forgiveness, once transcended, removes most of those conversations.
Although people should think about what they choose to feel or be.

Silent Running
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ep7W89I_V_g

Then again I don't need mercy nor forgiveness, I need money to be sent to me.
shrug...

And that guy in that picture, that is Reese from the Terminator Movie.
(the TP post... "Remember to wipe the threads after loading the pipe" - Reese
The problem some think wiping is removing what a person is,
instead of removing some presumed debt,
to better understand a rule, pays a debt without having to destroy who a person is.
and most of those things many called debts are not explainable nor correct anyways.)

If your curious, I am reenforcing and linking with my Fathers Troops,
mostly from 80s battles, for instance, that kid is from a Twilight Zone Episode

Heh, I wonder what such configuration makes in actual game. First - Leader arrives long after his ship, and it is PT boat, which shows up in pool, and have to be deployed yet. Is Sprague completely unavailable, until someone deploy PT-74? Or is he available, and suddenly transferred to ship, when PT-74 is deployed?

Anyway, I am not sure about ship officers, but Airmen definitely get promoted. If Naval Officer get promotions, is he suddenly unavailable for commission?

I see here theoretical problem with soldiers, who began war as Captains, and were later promoted to Admirals.

Hello

Naval Officer do not get promotions. The disigner team wanted it but they had not enough time as far as I know.

Instead they did a workaround which was quite ok:

Captains, which and were later promoted to Admirals, where set as the catain for a ship get their (later) rank of an adimiral and set as "catain" of that ship. But he`s Type was set to „04 – Task Force“.
So when you replace him as a "captain" of he`s ship he will be aviable as a Task force commander.

Mitcher is such a case. Here all works. if you replace him as a commander of the Hornet he will be aviable as a task Force commander

But they had so many leaders that errors are to be likely. And there are 8 Leader which have the wrong "Type". I these Leader replaced, they will never be aviable again in that game.

Good catch, it seems easy to fix.
Still, that does not explain, why I catch several RADMs on auxiliary ships. Next time I would note ship, and captain name, and check it in DB.

Is 9009 commanding something, or can I safely put him onto Washington bridge?
