CruftMod

I think I have given up on my Axis Aflame project. It's just more work than I can be bothered with.

Instead I am thinking of doing a mod of the Grand Campaign which basically just removes annoyances and egregious imbalances with the minimum of work.

CruftMod would be based on stock Scenario 1 with the standard map but with stacking limits. I haven't decided whether I want to sort it out to make it playable with PDU Off so for the time being assume PDU On.

Here's the putative Changelog. None of it has actually been done yet.

I would appreciated comments and particularly suggestions for removing annoyances on the Allied side, which I am really not very familiar with.

CruftMod Changelog
------------------

Air:-

Reduce ceiling of most planes to 27,000ft
Allow ceiling of 35,000ft for designated high altitude planes (4Es, Recon and some fighters)

Japan - add a Camera-equipped A6M2 Zero (no bombs)
Japan - attach all Dets to parent airgroups
Japan - change Rufe and Rex to Floatplane type
Japan - change Chitose fighter group at Roi-Namur to equip the A6M2
Japan - de-nerf the Ki-74's bombload
Japan - look at de-nerfing the Ki-100
Japan - give the Ki-44-IIb and Ki-44-IIc more useful armament

Naval:-

Nerf all ship-carried ASW mortars

Japan - change all Type 2 depth charges to Mod-2 Type 95
Japan - remove the KB's Replenishment TF from the starting setup and put the ships in port
Japan - re-arrange all the initial invasion TFs to remove the slow and short-range ships
Japan - remove the capability of AVs to carry and fly floatplanes
Japan - remove all aircraft carrying subs, change the ones on map at start to other similar types
Japan - change all CS to their CVL counterparts and add to build queue

LCUs:-

Reduce all aviation support by half
Reduce all naval support by half

Japan - combine the various SNLFs and Special Base Forces which start split up

Bases:-

No airfields greater than SPS 5

Economy:-

Refineries do not produce supply but require less Oil
Light Industry requires more Resources
Factory upgrades cost 5,000 supply per point instead of 1,000 - aircraft and engines excepted

Allies - reduce free Supply and Fuel at map edges

Why is that?

It prevents silly uber airbases with unlimited planes. Treespider has done the same in his mod.
