Well, yeah, I guess that may explain it. However, I *asked* to be put in the basic league in my PM. Oh well, I'll just have to play the hand I'm dealt. C'mon Adrian Peterson for my first round draft!

Yeah, around here we say "If you don't like the weather, give it an hour. It will change"

A lot of northern states use that phrase. Here, earlier this month record lows. Now nearing and tying record highs. Another odd year.

Welp, the Penguin showed himself a true sportsfowl in our game, agreeing to a temporary ceasefire while I extracted a TF that had become stuck in a hex. Still cost me two carriers, but good on him.

What happened that your TF became 'stuck'?

Old bug happened. TF's sometimes get stuck in certain island hexes; there's a couple in the Solomons and apparently Bathurst Island is another.

Not just particularly good liberty ports? Like Tahiti or Sydney?

This is no joke. It's happened to me several time over the years. I didn't know Bathurst was another place it could happen, so I didn't notice the TF was stuck there before the Penguin's bombers had finished off Indomitable and Formidable.

Wow! That's scary. I've had a land unit fragment turn up in the middle of the IO, but not anything like that. Sorry for your loss.

So, I decided to audition for the local play in town this fall through the college.

I have never done this before, and wanted to try something new. I don't mind getting up in front of people or talking in front of audiences at all..

The play is A Night of Broadway.

I talked to the head chick...

I told her I can't sing or dance that I'm aware of and was only interested in a non-singing and dancing part. She said they need lots of narrators so come on out and give it a shot.

I talk for a living and figured the worst thing they can say is no.

Wish me luck?

No, dude...! We wish you to 'break a leg'. Wishing you that other thing would be inappropriate for your stage trial.

Wasn't the last person to do that on stage the one that shot our president a few years back?

They told us there isn't anything planted in N Iowa and on into S Minnesota.. it was too wet to get in.

They said of all the things, wheat will disconnect from corn and skyrocket, as we'll have a shortage of wheat before we get to next years harvest. Very little carryout, which I agree with them on.

Nice conversation over a bottle of wine and the promise I'd be there in the morning.

I'm so sorry.

The glitch only happens whilst outbound from Darwin to Sidney, so I routed them around the western tip of Bathurst, whilst the Penguin obligingly stood down his bombers and subs.
