Originally posted by MKSheppard I've been doing a little project on my own time using the SPWAW 7.1+ unit silhoullete LBM pictures to update the black and white LBM pictures of units in SP CAMMO's SP:WW2... It looks good after I converted it to SPWW2's palette, and I'm wondering who did the work originally for SPWAW... Would it legally be possible to distrubute this "WW2 Color" mod widely, or would this be violating Matrix' Games' Rights on the graphics of SPWAW?
This is a very touchy subject, I too am doing a rendition of SpWW2, using graphics from WAW, and pics from H2H, BUT, I don't plan to distribute it to public domain. I was going to release my whole bitmap archive to the folks at SPWW2 to use, and gave it up, as I would have to worry about anything that was technically belonging to Matrix, being included in the copywrited Megacampaigns. I would write either David Heath, or Paul Vebber for definite word on this, if you are just doing it for yourself, fine, but might have to worry about it for public domain, although I've seen my icons in SPWW2, and we have some of there's (modified) in our game. Hope this is of help to you.
