John, I'm gaining weight just from reading your and Francois' posts.

I'm sitting here at work eating a fresh LaMar's with coffee, and already thinking on dinner

Oohhh! Mike and Glen, there's places that you can get real Argentine beef, without all the marbling fat. It tastes way better, too, and it's way better for your Federally Regulated Heart Health, except that it tastes so much better, so you will likely eat more of it and die of a coronary in your 80s. It will probably make you learn Spanish, too; not a bad thing.

Ciao. JWE

Well, my pro-league players did alright, other than that, last nights game bit the big one.

You bet on the Pats was for 12.5, right? You'da won if that had been the over:under on the Pat's score. Just.

What a dud of a game. Sucky weather with new receivers makes for beaucoup dropped passes.

About seven weeks to go for deer hunting here. Venison isn't far behind. Though my favorite is pronghorn antelope.

Do WitP:AE players count as people? I hope not.

Happy TGIF! Long week at work and now to let off some steam in two turns of WitP:AE for two different PBEM games!

Yeah, I think the AFC East is going to be the toilet division this year.

Ohhh! been munching on deer since forever. Can't imagine Elk is much different. All depends on how you or your butcher deals with the animal. For recipes, I prefer the haunch, cut halfway between the knee and the hip, and the sirloin (know it's small, but it's oh, so yummy). They take a bit different spices and different times to marinade. The sirloin I like to make as a semi-sauerbraten. Use vinegar, wine, onions, thyme, cardomom, as a marinade, then slo-grill it till it's done and do a hi-heat sear program.

Deer season is opening up here soon, so soon as I get a good buck, I'll be posting some righteous recipes and pictures

[ed] These days we're mostly doing doves. They are pretty good.

Ciao. John

Football: Over looking the fact that I got crushed in the matrix pro-league, I had a great day of football yesterday. I went eleven and three on the day and even some of the ones I lost gave me a smile. I my have lost taking KC, but KC still beat Dallas.

Oh, yeah, thanks to to Seattles defence (who I have in the basic league) shuting down of Kaepernick. (my opponents QB in the basic league) I went from a 12 to 88 underdog to a 80 to 20 favorite to win with tonights game to go. What a difference one game can make.

Now my only concern is what will Reggie Bush's MRI show. If I lose him, any chance I had in the pro-league is gone.

Fodder, I appreciate your sense of optimism! Very good of you to turn being a loser into a moral victory. When moral or pyrrhic victories are all one has, then-and only then-can they become a Minnesota Vikings or other Minnesota sports team fan. Sounds like you're close.

As for the balance of your season in the pro league-Reggie Bush is done. Maybe this is your cue to pick up the Minnesota Vikings' backup RB?

Even though my Titan's lost, they showed very well against Houston and almost beat them. I can't be unhappy about that!
