Oh, and we did find the cat this morning, she was in our daughter's room asleep on the other side of her from the door and didn't respond when we were calling for her for half an hour... Just like a cat!

Get a dog. They not only respond, they will run over you when you call

Sorry to hear it, Per. Was this the one involved in the Strategic Move thread?

Unfortunately, I can't even find time to squeeze off 1 turn/year to Torsten right now.

Any interest in a shorter one? Like Guadalcanal? Or any other? I can do LYB. I just can't do "Factory manager in the Pacific".

If you're still looking in a couple of weeks I might be able to fit something in. I want to see how much time I'm able to spare once the flying has finished for the winter before I commit though.

No problems Mike, I'm just checking

Yes, that's the one. My opponent didn't like me using strat move to reinforce a contested base. He wanted some new house rules forbidding any use of land and air movement via rail in/out of contested bases. I refused on the grounds that the game mechanism is there to punish those who use it capriciously, so it's WAD.

Thanks for the offer Steve I might take you up on the offer even though I've never played any of the shorter scenarios. Might be good teaching me some humility I'll leave it pending if it's ok for you?

Thank you Martin I would definitely be interested in case you would have the time. I could need some AE rest for some time. If the addiction kicks in, I could let Steve punish me in one of the shorter scenarios in the meantime

I would appreciate if you could give some sort of heads up when you get a feeling for your future schedule, so I would know if I'm better off searching for an opponent elsewhere

Absolutely! Actually I'd be happy to play against you in any game. I just don't feel competent yet to do the Japanese in the GC yet. Maybe soon.

Get a dog. They not only respond, they will run over you when you call

Got one of them, she insists on nights like last night under the full moon sitting outside just outside our bedroom and barking at the moon. Doesn't want to come in, just wants to bark.

We are going to see a production of "Les Miserable" this Friday. Looking forward to that, also.

Saw it twice in the same theater in Northern California when it was first making its national rounds as an off-Broadway show. Superb. Probably the best play I'd ever been too. I cried BOTH times too-big sentimental baby.

Glad you had a happy ending. Plus it gave you a segue for another iteration of the Nashvillen tyranny.

If you're looking for a match, I'll throw my hat in the ring, Viking dude. I'm quite comfortable with the LYBs.

Just had a moderately satisfactory turn against the Penguin. Sank eight of his cargo ships, an oiler and a submarine in one day. Not a lot of VPs, but every little bit counts.

Alright, after the inevitable fanboism, what happened? Sneaky Allied dog carrier raid on a port or didja nail an invasion TF?

Hi John

Funny, I had just a pie for dinner. Not the chicken pot variant though. Ground meat. Got seriously nappy

Gravlax ... hmmm ... that's something I haven't had for a while. Thanks for the tip

Nein. The cargo ships were in a supply TF of his, busily unloading at Koumac. Then a USN Bombardment TF with two battleships showed up. The oiler was sunk by a submarine.

What a witch. I can get Mr camera working in the kitchen, but he just doesn't seem to want to work in those other places that I want him to. Oh, well.
