saw this mentioned in another thread but cant find it now. was playing time to dance with limited staff orders and tried to group 4 units, the HQ and its subordinates. got a pop up saying no group orders were allowed since I was using limited staff option. is this working correctly? thanks.

That is correct. You cannot give group orders when the limit orders rule is in effect.

bah

any chance of getting this reworked? such as a group of 4 ordered to move two waypoints will take 8 orders? so how would a planned assault work? how can I gurantee that my units will arrive within a reasonable time of each other? even a few minutes can a make a difference if units arrive late. thanks.

You can use the waypoint editor to adjust the time so that they should move together
