Saw it on the news. Very sad. Best wishes for a timely rain, mate.

I was clearing out some old docs etc from the PC just now when I found something which made me smile. I saved this particular quote back in 2011 knowing it would amuse me again someday...

quote:

ORIGINAL: Chickenboy
I must say that my wife appreciates the larger 9.7 inch version that we now have between us. Sure, she could have made do with less, but no sense in denying the bigger option, wouldn't you say? Most guys I know have the 6" version, but I'm sold on the larger format. The extra weight isn't as bad as you think and it can be a real conversation starter when one whips it out in a pub or coffee shop. Your pal Laurie would probably be as willing to accept the 9.7" version as the smaller 6" format from you too, no?

Week seven is moving along.

I'm eight and four on the day.

In the night game I'm taking the Broncos and giving 6.5.

Still kicking in both matrix leagues, tonights game will pretty much decide both for me.

Me and my family recently moved to Southern Israel from the US. Were looking for a house right now and jobs. Were living with my wife's parents on Kibbutz Be'eri.

OK, I admit it I gave up. How many three and outs did the Broncos have to start the second half? I stopped watching, I gave up on the game and the leagues andwent to bed. I just could not watch any more.

Then they came to life? They almost won the game? Well, they wouldn't have beaten the spread, but still.

That aside, they did do enough to keep me alive in both leagues.
