I did not read the manual but I suspect the red means something bad. Maybe they just ran out of Bully Beef at the PX but I suspect some restive group is making trouble.

It means some P(x) [Grisby Die roll] of giving away a VP to the Shinto Boys and taking some damage because the natives get restless as you point out .. in Calcutta they replaced the Bully Beef with Pork Rinds and obviously all hell broke out ..
My thought on this .. 25 airway damage on a 9 level airfield is like 200 4E's dropping full loads .. I guess 200 Ryder trucks loaded with FEX bombs would do the trick ..

BTW) Winnie boy was partial to cognac ... much more refined "brandy" of sorts ..

If he wants to come over for dinner I'll spring for the cognac and cigars...and an extra helping of boiled kidneys or whatever the Engrish eat.

Well, I don't think it's cricket to just assume that the Lord Admiral would automatically like this, just because he claims to be English. Propriety dictates that you ask him beforehand, to suss his comfort level with the food. My contributions to this discourse are to offer this question for his consideration:

Lord Admiral Sprior-have you had Spotted Dick before? What did it taste like? Would you try it again? Are there any cultural or culinary problems with serving it with fudge?

I was under the impression we were discussing the menu for Winnie coming to dinner.

Note of warning:

Admiral Lord SPrior is a non-Hindu speaking IT guy (who, even so, apparently can do Indian accents). This by itself is not dangerous but the real point is he can probably find your IP number and make life miserable for you.

This is why I aplogized when I got his favorite ship sunk and why I did not mean to imply that he liked boiled kidneys or funny-sounding deserts.

Fried kidneys, fried. Or devilled.

In the strangest of coincidences, I actually got Spotted Dick from a female healthcare professional. My cousin Sophie, who is an Oncologist, gave me a can of Spotted Dick as a joke Christmas gift last year. I am pretty sure she was not unclean when she gave me the Spotted Dick.

I am open to suggestions for an appropriate retaliatory gift.

Was she generous with her gift, so that you can tell the family "Sophie gave me a case of spotted dick!"

Do they provide certain teeth* bleaching services?

*I didn't really mean "teeth" in the line above. I just thought it rather crass to use the term arsehole, so I edited it out and replaced it in the name of good taste. What would this AAR be, were it not for the refined taste of its alleged "contributors"?

Sorry, but I am limited to telling the relatives "Sophie gave me a dose of Spotted Dick." Actually it was two servings, but what's a little understatement among family? And since I only ate one serving my statement will be accurate in a sense.

The triple and quadruple aces. 36th FS was the nursery for quite a few. They shot down hundreds of planes in the P-39 during the fight for New Scotland.

Richard Bong was a real guy. 40 kills. He died testing a P-80 jet.

The 90+ crowd. Not very many. Evidnetry JJ will have many dozens at this point.

*********Sushi Breastaurant, Karenko, Formosa********

Man in fine linen slacks: Look, Yossarian, you crazy SOB, I'm not kidding. They really ARE trying to kill you.

Hirsute sushi manager: What, the Japs? They love me now. Right Tomiko?

Female sushi chef with low cut top and relatively large breasts: Hai, Yossarian-san.

Man in fine linen slacks: No, you crazy SOB, it's the Calcutta Martyr's Brigade. They issued a fatwa. They are trying to kill YOU.

Hirsute sushi manager: What did I do to them?

Man in fine linen slacks: Well, do you remember that faux-SPAM product line?

Then they built a museum around the middle bit so they didn't have to move it - clever!

The front bit: is that large hole on top where the periscope for the driver would have been, or was that farther back? It looks very cramped, I hope they had a good retirement package.

I'll see if Saul will give you all a bid on the gardening. Pretty cool stuff.

Russian guy firing a 40 mm. Watch when he fires on auto. The 2nd through the last shot do NOT land on the other side of the lake. I don't know WHERE they landed. Probably Omsk.
