Takao: Even though the airfield seems to be beat up by recon, JJ manages to get some Tojos in the air, likely downing a few B-25's. Maybe it's LRCAP? They seem to have psychic abilities as they did the same thing yesterday over Taihoku.

Raid detected at 41 NM, estimated altitude 16,000 feet.
Estimated time to target is 11 minutes

South China Sea: Other than a sub attack on an IJN PB, nothing happens. The cruiser force strikes out. A dozen subs almost strike out. The B-24's don't fly. Nothing.

************Pranning**********

We follow up the air attacks on Naha with a bombardment tonight by North Carolina and Wichita, San Francisco and Juneau in two taffys.
Santa Fe (CL) and 4 DD's will sanitize the area first.

Then, in the morning the P-47's sweep again and the bombers go back in. We need both fields out on Okinawa before any landing.

Next night Massachusetts goes in, then Washington (unless Kirishima shows back up).

Miyako-jima will be level 4 in about 3-4d. Once the CAP is gone we can send in B-25's and TBF's on level bombing to augment the damage.

The carriers. Victorious is in drydock at Colombo. Essex just left Panama and is tasked for the Kuriles operation along with Santee and Anzio.

Yorktown available at Manado but her escorts are off fighting.

Wasp and two busted up CVE's are at Manado repairing system damage then they have to go to Sydney.

Forgot about Barnes (CVE) which just had a AAA upgrade at Pearl.

Company Christmas party last night. Pretty fun. Drinks were pricey and half the volume of the martinis was in the olives...and the salmon was a bit gamey..but still pretty fun.

Desert was good..kind of a brandy-infused baked pear with brown sugar crust and tiramasou.

I'm sure there weren't many left over desert plates. Our staff is getting rearry, rearry beefy. Fortuantely, the dance floor was laid out on a concrete foundation. When the DJ played some salsa tunes it was like a Richter 5 quake. To paraphrase Winny, "never has so little fabric been stretched so thin on so many".

Stalker Girl had a few glasses of $8 wine and was getting territorial about one of the business office chicks. She turns to me and says, "If she touches you again I'm f***** takin' her out". That is the highlight of those things..the girl fights.

Also found out the one openly gay doc in the group is like the King of Salsa. His date, a guy with earrings was a rousy dancer so he went out on the floor with one of the Latinas with big "pompies"...Santa Maria! El Rey de salsa!

Do you mean Santee and Anzio or all the restricted infantry lolling about? Quite a few of the troops for the Kuriles/Sakhalin invasion will emabark at Seatlle and Victoria. The CVE's will go with them, probably one with a squadron of P-47's with their wings on (to fly off to any field we seize) and the rest of the deck space with F6F's.

I hope you will refrain from bringing into the WWII(c) discussions any conversations involving the Matronly Lesbian in Unfashionable Pantsuit. Current affairs are fair game.

Ms. Aguilera2DD could definitely get a waitressing gig at Twin Peaks, a Breastaurant that I've been told has better food than Hooters, if her singing career hits the skids.

That has to be a fairly demoralizing turns for the Japan-mens.

We sent some subs to the shallow water off Saigon and they were attacked immediately. Probably some good air search there.

I googled it. An extended range Polaris with 2 warheads and "penetration aids" because the Russkis had selfishly tried to protect Moscow with 100 ABM's.

Did they ever let you take the "penetration aids" to local pubs to improve the chance of success?

A few sticky greens is the best "penetration aid". Although the "ladies" of Helensburgh seemed to have developed their own defences against such things.

American youth would think you were referring to marijuana if you asked for sticky green. If you asked an American youth for Crème de menthe you'd probably just get a confused look unless you asked a particularly poofy youth.
