Hi all, quote:

ORIGINAL: Chickenboy Well, I tendered my resignation to the University today. Been there 12 years. Time to move on... Change can be a good thing. Got big plans? We're at a real crossroads. I have a great job offer in hand from a company in NE Pennsylvania. It's a high pressure: high reward sort of position with a great company. On the other end of the spectrum is a move to San Antonio to be with my wife's family. We're kind of isolated up here in MN from our families. We miss growing up with our parents, siblings and-for the first time-our new nieces and nephews. My wife would be the only one working if we ventured down that path. Doable, but risky financially. So-a dream job or family? I'm sure no one else has ever made this decision before. I'm the first in the epic history of mankind, I'm sure. It's just a very, very difficult decision. It's wonderful that we have a choice. But we've never been in that position before. We've moved around because that's where the jobs were. We don't have to do that anymore. And frankly, it's scary. ETA: I'm all ears if one of you lot has some sage advice... Best wishes! Leo "Apollo11"
