Hi all, quote:
ORIGINAL: Symon quote:
ORIGINAL: AW1Steve I just spent a very happy day and a half with my Dad. He's 83, and it's the 1st time I've seen him in nearly four years. Although he's very healthy , I can't help but wonder if I won't see him again. I'll always take his phone call , no matter how inconvenient. I made that mistake with my mom. She left a message , and I said "I'll call her tomorrow". She passed that night. There is no blame, Steve, except that which you wish to accept to yourself. My Dad died 12 years ago after taking care of mom for many years. His great and inclusive heart, just gave out. A great and wonderful man left us. Them of us who are left must carry on. I remember going to the funeral and seeing his body, and promising to his "shade", that I would do what he wanted. Death is life. Life is death. What we are, is what we were, and ever shall be. The thought you hold in your mind about "I'll call tomorrow" will be there, for God to see. Your tears for your mother's passing, are keys into the Kingdom of Heaven. Sorry, I'm just a philosophical Jesuit and want to see and greet my friends at the footstool of God. Woof !! Hootz Gazootz !! John My uncle died just before Christmas after long long battle with cancer and heart disease... today is the funeral... Leo "Apollo11"
