It's Valentines day, so remember to tell your sweety or you will be in deep doo-doo.

Wait a minute! What about "Sweetheart's Day"? Or one's anniversary? Or "Love day"? Or Mother's Day? You mean to tell me that I've got to say "I love you" more than once a year? What a gyp!

Pushing 68F here, should get into the 70s by Tuesday. Gotta think about cutting back my sego-palms that got whacked, sigh.

Valentine's Day was good. Got Mom a nice arrangement on Wednesday, and am making her lamb for dinner. Her caregivers wheel her through the neighborhood and she meets and greets lots of folks. This morning, the doorbell was constantly in motion. Eight people stopped by, on their way to work, to drop off a card and a gift to Mom. Jo, from two houses down, made her a special peach and cherry pie and a hand made card.

Moms table is covered with cards, flowers, and chocolates.

Tithe... The Penguin has flapped off to visit his parents in the colonies for a week. Probably was tired of the UK being under water, too...

Sheeeeet! It got warmer than predicted here today... up to 58F. My driveway and all the streets are melted and dry.

Kinda-sorta okay. Ceylon is still off the table, because I don't have enough aircraft to suppress his bombers, and now enough warships to provide proper cover. I'm considering Port Moresby instead. It's more lightly held.

I've detected a brigade so far. There's been no air opposition to my recon and bombing missions. I can lift about 2 divisions, so the biggest problem will be supplying them in the face of the IJN.

Good morning, THREAD dudes...

What an enjoyable game of Hockey that was yesterday! I think the Russkies got jobbed by having their winning goal called back on a technicality. But since it's the Russkies, I won't complain too loudly.

Perfect flying weather today. 68F on the ground, dry, no cloud cover. The WS, 10m actual, was SW at 6kts, veering to NW at 9 kts at 2k meters. Not a cloud in the sky. There was two flights that got off today. On the second flight, one of the young men from North Island, San Diego, let me fly his Thunder Gull. Ohhoooo, can you say jazzed? That was a serious righteous airplane. Only thing was it's a one seater, so I had to leave Beaudy on the ground. They fed him well, and he was right there on the hard, when I came back. Beaudy, the Wonder Dog.

No matter what plane you fly, your dog knows just which one it is. Don't even begin to tell me that they aren't intelligent. Ciao. John

US Federal Tax return done, submitted, and accepted. Enough withdrawn this year, but need to fine tune it back just a bit, return is too large, would rather have less in one lump sum and be able to put it where I want during the year instead of the US Federal Govt determining where it is kept for a year!
