It feels very odd. I usually spent 2-3 hours per night doing the turn and AAR. And suddenly I have nothing to do! Kind of miss the social thing with sending the turns and talking in the AAR too.

But at least I´m catching up on all those movies and TV series I havn´t had time to watch. Started with Fallen Skies and Walking dead a couple of nights ago. How come everyone in a zombie movie have never seen or heard about zombies?


For the same reason that people walking through a house at night never turn the lights on!

Here are the naval losses. First CV/CVL/CVE. Might look catastrophic but only the early losses of the starting CVs + CVEs was troublesome. Despite all this I still have 13 CVs, 11 CVLs, 30-40 CVEs left. Havn´t counted but probably somewhere around 2500 CV Capacity.

Here are the BB/CA/CL losses. Pretty standard I think. Think I got away pretty good from PH considering Erik hung around for 3 days or more.

Stupidly lost West Virginia and New Orleans to "pumps failing" trying to get them to the WC. New Mexico was lost against 4 DDs in pitch black moonless night. Guess the radars didn´t work on either the NM or any of the escorts that night...

North Carolina and Washington was lost in a CV battle. Stopped embedding Fast BBs into CV TFs after that.

Sucked to lose the PoW at Luzon in late 44. She probably saw more combat then any other allied ship. Also lost my favorite Allied ship the CL Montpelier to the stupid "day 2 disaster". She was damaged by LBA and later sunk by surface fire. Not a very fitting end to the poor ship.

Status: offline 		Nice to see the real list!! Obviously mine has all kinds of inaccuracies. I'll pos it to compare later today. Fun to see the fog of war stuff. Did you notice any weird things from my lists of sunk IJN ships that surprised you?

Just to clarify:

Only two strikes at PH. Paid for that in my next game where the KB got nailed on day two!

I'm pretty sure our second CV clash wasn't 8 hexes. I've always wondered about what happened there, as I attributed it to weather not allowing your CVs to launch since we were in range. now that I look back though, the IJN strike hits the Allied fleet with clear weather in the morning phase, yet there was no Allied strike?

Were the planes set to less than 7 hexes? Just still curious how this happened which really set the game in a different direction.

I think I have a save from after, but not just before. I'll check though. I have sporadic saves from all through the game, but often after the big stuff! I guess that makes sense, as you don't know when it's going to happen. I wish I had one of the Sarmi invasion, so I could test why the KB didn't fly well there also.

I'm going through and looking at saves lately, trying to put together a coherent sequence I can reload into a new tracker to check progress throughout the game. I just realized I changed my password at one point though, which I think means I'd not be able to load the later turns, I think, right?

I'm spending my previous playing time on digging through the game! Fun, and I hope it will eventually give me (and maybe someone else if the info is useful) insights as to how it ended up as it did. Your strat bombing certainly was the biggest factor in the supply demise, but I wonder if there were lots of other smaller things accumulating before as well.

3 Years of data in tracker it will be something like size of 5GB or more .
Opening tracker will take good amount of time. My biggest database was 13 months and on Quad Core CPU and with 8GB RAM it took over 15 minutes to open Tracker

I don´t even have any saves from 44. All gone in the disc crash.

The saves I'll useare a bit sporadic. Not exactly planed, but I like Feurer Krieg's idea of two trackers for the next game. Smart.

I do have a few clumps from several different periods, so I could probably use the 6/42 as a start, and maybe load a few days that are close to each other to see more of the daily trends. I don't think I'd have over 50 turns to load, probably more like 35. But that will give me a much more rounded sense of the war as a whole, especially the economic changes including supply before I really considered supply.

Status: offline 		Okay, I´m already bored. Any advice/tips on games to play? Tried the following:

-Baldurs Gate 2. Reasonably fun but I have played it too much before and remember too much to do another play through.
-Panzer Corps. Pretty fun but got repetitive pretty fast.
-XCOM Enemy Unknown. Finished. Pretty fun.
WitE Almost nothing has happened to this game since I played it last. Air war is still a complete joke.
CIV 5 Still playing. Fun!

Status: offline 		Have you played Enemy Unknown's expansion? If not, I recommend it. If you have, you could always try a second playthrough with some of the "second wave" options.

Also, perhaps one of the Paradox Interactive games (Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Victoria, Hearts of Iron).

Go for Baldur's Gate II and install the SCS mod. The mod makes the game more challenging and requires players to study the game's magic system in order to survive.

You can also install a mod that runs BG1 in the BG2 engine. I think I installed about 9 mods, widescreen support, etc. I realize you can buy it with widescreen, but i was cheap. Anyway - there are a bunch of mods for quests that were cut from the original, plus other mods for rather long quest lines that have been well written by the community.

If that is too much work, try Witcher 1 and 2. They are dirt cheap on steam and I really enjoyed them a lot.

You liked BG2. Have you played Neverwinter Nights? It's super good, though I never finished it due to reformatting twice and it's been so long now that, even though I still have my save files, I forget what I was doing. And I'm far enough in that I don't want to restart.

Havn´t tried the expansion yet. Got the original for free when I bought my GHX card. Might give the expansion a go. Bullwinkle told me a while back its miles better then the original!

Never could get into the EU engine games. Not really sure why. Might give it a try again. One of the older ones should be pretty cheap by now! Like HoI2 but really didn´t like nr 3.

Loved the Witcher games! Suffered a bit from having a too slow computer to really enjoy it. Excellent tip. I´ll try and dig out the CDs. Moved trice since I played the first game! Didn´t really like the second one though. Stopped playing it about half way through. Can´t remember what I didn´t like about it though...

Oh man, I absolutely LOVED Dark souls. A friend of mine gave it too me 2 days after he bought it... THE best PS3 game and one of the best games I have ever played. Probably the hardest game I have played too. Wonder how many times I died in the first 2 hours... I absolutely hated the first boss. The one on the rooftop of the church. I hear there DS2 is due for PC(?) pretty shortly?

I think I might have played NWN 2 but I´m not sure. Screens look familiar when I google it but I can´t remember anything from actually playing the game. I´m getting old...
